Artillery obliterating infantry

<t> Have the game for a week now and I like it a lot. I have all the series and really thinks the mechanics are the best out there.<br/>
<br/>
One thing that I have seen, and it surprised me a bit, but you can take an infantry regiment from power 40 to power 6 in two turns. I played my son in a ...

RE: Panzers vs The Bear: A WitE2 MP AAR (Axis Perspective)

<t> If I am understanding RedLancer, The Axis GC first turn gets special rules. I think WITE opened a can of worms by having the same design decision. I would much rather see a random check among the Soviet forces that would remove certain amounts of movement points. This would reflect the surprise ...

As the first turn is now essentially "longer" than in WitE1, the advances in the north seem to be proceeding at close to historical pace. I'm hoping the weather, road and logistics systems will be creating interesting obstacles for Manstein's ...

Hitlers no fallback orders contributed to the Soviets ability to break out in 1944 and 1945.

Question

Two things that I hate in WITE are 1. First Axis move is a two turn move and 2. I hate how when you brake down divisions the Corp becomes overloaded. These may seem silly, but I hate them both. Will these items be the same in WITE2?

Hey Reb,

Trying to play Quatre Bra I get a runtime error. Waterloo scenarios work fine.

Japanese ASW warfare

<t> Still learning the game.<br/>
<br/>
As Japan in the ASW fight I am figuring PBs are okay SC are good? What destroyers are best at ASW? The ones with the most endurance I use with my long range task forces. <br/>

As far as planes, I am guessing, a Betty can be used to drop depth charges ...

Infantry Engagements

<t> I am giving this game another go and have been spending a lot of time learning the air war and logistics.<br/>
<br/>
My concern is that the infantry fighting seems like WW1. As the Allies I am grouping up artillery and using combat engineers, but the slog is hard. I suffer way more than the ...

<t> For many of us who support Frank Hunter and his games this is sad news. I always have seen a bit of genious in his game designs. He designs games in a way that no one else does and that I really do appreciate. <br/>

<t> I am in a game again and have this problem again. 30 ss stugs at OKH. One SS Division has some, but not the other. They are both in need of tanks. What is also funny is that last turn my unit with the SS Stugs sent 1 back????<br/>

Anyway, what unit can I create to get these into the ...

Continuing On

<t> I come back to this time and time again. The main frame work of this game is great. I can really get into this game and have started another internet game. My only wish is that the air war could be redone and two or three other minor issues. The chance of that isn't much, if I was to guess.<br ...

Looking at the development of the series I have to post here that DC3 crossed the too abstract realm and I just don't like it. The basic challenges of an Eastern Front game have been largely ...
