Re: slow server?

A belated thank you for those ideas and feedback.

I suspect my opponent and I will take some more time out and keep an eye on the forums. I can't see us switching game versions periodically. I'll find some way to screw that up! Damn shame as it's a fabulous game

Re: slow server?

Just tried to play my Global War game with Furbet (late '43) after taking a break for a few months. Still encountering enormous delays moving land units. Saw a suggestion about loading patch 7.0.0 which we did and then tried removing the optional rule on isolated units which someone else mentioned ...

Global War end game very slow

Currently playing as allies in a Global War game in Jul/Aug 43 using NetPlay. In the last week or so the play has been extremely slow. It can take 40 seconds to move a land unit for the allies. Other phases have significant hold ups as well.

I'm hoping that maybe the server has been experiencing ...

Re: slow server?

Was just about to write a post about whether others have had problems with slow play in late game global scenarios but saw yours. Me and Furbet are in Jul/Aug 43 and the game has become hardly playable recently - 40 seconds or more to move a land unit. Would you happen to know if the server ...

Re: Difficulty saving Traded oil

Thanks kindly.

My buddy and WiF opponent is going to help me do just that. I'm a bit lost if there's anything more than an update button to press!

There were a few great tips in the "production masterclass" thread so I'm hopeful that those plus the version upgrade will get us sorted

Looking ...

Re: Difficulty saving Traded oil

I'm afraid not

The screen is as below when I open it. Then I am able to sort the French convoys successfully and saving the Iraq oil to Beirut. Then I can save the CW oil in Burma to Rangoon and the Persian oil in the Middle East. Port of Spain I used to be able to save in place but that doesn't ...

Re: Difficulty saving Traded oil

Thanks very much. Really appreciate your efforts as always

I wasn't actually worried about production. With 1 idle factory I still got max production with the production multiple.

I can't manage to send to India or Australia (nice idea I hadn't thought about Aus) and now it won't let me save the ...

Re: Difficulty saving Traded oil

Thanks for looking at it

The Balikpapan oil is no longer showing. I think the game got sick of my attempts to make it work

Difficulty saving Traded oil

Hi

I've come back to the game after a few years, read the excellent Production masterclass thread and thought I might try wrestling with production again. Playing both sides

Have so far only got one issue - I can't seem to save the CW oil in India, which I believe I should be able to do? I've got ...

Re: US CV's not upgrading

Thank you both. I do wonder if I haven't changed the setting for allowing upgrades. I'll know when i get the next turn back. I'll send screen shots if still an issue

US CV's not upgrading

I've researched 1943 carrier tech but 2 of my CV's are stubbornly refusing to upgrade. They are in a size 6 port Noumea, "Reinf/upgrade" is set very high at over 300 and has loads of spare capacity. Enterprise and Lexington have not upgraded the last 3 turns nor for 2 or 3 turns previously at Pearl ...

Re: Japanese homeland reinforcements

Well the reinforcements didn't arrive in the way they were originally coded to arrive (see stjeand's help above) as the designated cities were garrisoned by Japanese units. A few turns later (about 3 I think) and after some entries in this thread and the 2 armies have now turned up in the build ...

Re: Japanese homeland reinforcements

Could you place the unit(s) in the build queue to arrive next turn?

Otherwise, if i'm right, the concept of a daunting Japanese uprising against the invader is rendered meaningless.
