troop power bonus from resources

When a resource present on the planet grants bonus strength to troops built there the value is usually ~5. Is there something I'm missing or is that a very low bonus when troop strength averages in the 700's and often much higher.

I use Monarchy almost exclusively..the other are too bogged down by maint and war weariness. I've had my monarch change a few times...usually I dismiss them because of poor starting stats.

How to be a refueling site

My star base dont seem to get the refueling point blue icon. What is required to be considered a refueling point? These are Star Bases at planets not Space Ports and they lack construction bays. Does that matter?

Its odd there isnt a text file for ruins like there is for planet facilities..arnt ruins functionally just a building on the planet with a special icon denoate their presence

Weapon Maint costs

Is there any rhyme or reason to the varied amount of maint weapons require? I found myself ignoring the rail gun line completely due to its high maint costs.

Does that setting change the behavior for all ships of that design or just ones built after the change. The ones I've got are set to stand off and they need to be point blank to kil lthis base but in general I'd pefer them stand off

I cant speak the spy one but the research center building doesnt seem to increase researchers. I got one researcher at the start of my game and have had none since building these improvements on all my major planets.

screen resolution change option

There is an option to set your screen resolution size in the startup file...WHY isnt this under options??? I wonder how many people play and dont know you can change the screen size.

edit : Grumbole grumble..why doesnt it resize ui elements to match the screen size?

removing low quality worlds

Is there a way to force the galaxy creator to not create worlds under 60% quality. Nothing is more annoying than nice planets in great locals I cant colonize. I dont like to be forced to cheat.
