RE: another disaster

<t> Personally I stopped reading right before the difficulties (just checking in a second and last time) because of all the one-sided HRs (and I'm not alone in this among the readers of the forum I frequent). I hope they manage to fix it up and have fun and report for those who are still reading ...

RE: another disaster

<t> Personally I think you should rerun that round after adding a HR a rule against swamping CAPs. <br/>
It'll ruin your fun if you keep on going after this round.<br/>
<br/>
Perfectly realistic bombing is disallowed because it wouldn't be fun, unrealistic bombing should also be disallowed when ...

I really don't understand why there are any HRs about this. How were Japan's cities destroyed in reality? By B-29s coming in at night at around ...

Fire bombing can destroy industry. All other attacks can only damage.

RE: LOST VICTORIES

<t> If Rader has held all of China for most of the game and India for a year in Sc2 he's probably got a lot of resources stockpiled in Japan... defeating him will have to be rendered against production, units or territory. <br/>

Can GJ use the navy to specifically create fires? <br/>

RE: Angels over Sadogashima

Yeah, I was almost certain GJ would go ahead and do it anyway, he's consistently gone for the biggest dice around the block. Here's to luck!

RE: High (strange) damage, fighter losses in night combat

<t> I think the problem here which might be addressed in any future games is that the changes made were functional rather than substantive.<br/>

It's far less controversial in most historical games to add units and control of various territories rather than to change the mechanics, as the ...

RE: Angels over Sadogashima

(edited, since I noticed Greyjoy asked us to stop talking about it)

I'll just leave here that I think the problem is the HRs make functional (mechanics) rather than substantive (assets) changes.

RE: High (strange) damage, fighter losses in night combat

<r> Are we really argueing whether Japanese industry would be cinders within months if the allies had Hokkaido from the start of the home isles bombing campaign as an airbase and adopted intensive firebombing as a strategy early on? RE: Angels over Sadogashima

Greyjoy: Keep the remaining ships safe. Hokkaido must not be lost. This is fair, both sides have swamped bombers on targets.

Continue to firebomb Japan at night, historically it did an immense amount of damage.

Beppi: Thanks for the info!

Greyjoy: Do you know if he's rebuilt some of his factories or all of his factories? If the latter, then wow, you did a lot of damage.
