true regarding the issue of combining units. The original post referred to HQ bonuses solely, and for that issue the assignment doesn´t matter [;)].

The actual HQ assignment doesn´t matter at all to receive bonuses. You just need the HQ inside the appropriate ranges. There have been numerous threads about this topic already.

The latest beta patch (available from the first post in this thread) contains all previous patches, and is enough to update from the last official patch.

the only game I remember (vagely) is the old Microprose "Destroyer Escort" game back from the 90s. I never heared of anything newer than that.

Well, I didn´t see any ops losses as well. The only difference that range=0 makes is that even at 100% training the fatigue stays at 0 or 1. Which can be of importance if you need to get the squad into service without delay.

Thanks for Info, Alfred. So this means that the CVEs the allied player gets from fall 1942 (those with 2 replenishment groups with 24/28 planes each) will have to send one group off-board to function in their replenishment role?

Does this also apply for Replenishment groups on CVEs in a replenishment TF?

I highly assume that the answer is "no", but I´ll ask anyway : Do they work also if the CVE is disbanded in port?
