Excellent idea for a scenario. Thanks for putting this together.

Re: Regiment (RGT) type troops don't show their stats on the sidebar

Components = Exclude

And underneath the name of the Frecce Nere Brigata it shows it is part of a "Cbt Group ..."

Since most tactical units, including the Militia Columns and later Regiments are Combat Groups, composed of multiple components, then this keeps the LCU list "tidy" in that it only ...

Confirming on my end, too. I've seen it in every scenario I've played so far.

RE: Weather

Yes. I just played my first scenario and had a day where there was "mist" all day. It stopped all ait support and seemed to have a ground combat impact as well. It definitely impacted LOS and recon.

I run it on my Windows 10 system without compatibility mode or anything else and it runs just fine.

RE: GPQ

I'm all in favor of asymmetric scenarios, particularly historical scenarios. These aren't, they're tournament scenarios, where balance is critical.

TBH, I've kind of gone off the system as a whole. The Action Point system is just too gamey.

Very good article sir. I think you covered the topic well and have nicely captured what makes this game different concerning logistics. I agree, this has become the "Gold Standard" for operational games.

RE: A new age of war is coming, and Ageod is ready to bring it to you!

<t> This is phenomenal news! Very pleased to see this. I have been immersed in gaming this period and the 7YW for the past several weeks, playing a fair amount of Rise of Prussia as part of that. More than once recently I'm found myself wishing for an AGEOD game covering the earlier part of this ...

Wow, I'll add my voice to those pointing out the radical difference in Soviet casualties! I'm not saying it's wrong at all, but it will definitely mean a change of approach when playing the Soviets.

Otherwise the patch seems good. Very stable and no bugs found here.

RE: Game doesn't launch (crash)

You want to run the patch anyway. The game incorrectly reports that it is at the latest version. Running the patch usually corrects the issue you're having, from what I've seen.

<t> Make sure you've applied the latest update. Note that when you go to apply the update, you might get a message that you already have the latest version - you don't, unless you've already applied the patch. The version that comes with the purchase download is not the latest version.<br/>

RE: Bridge Building

<t> Now that is a very real possibility. I don't recall seeing NATO AI build a bridge on its own - but then in the original scenario set there really wasn't much reason to do so.<br/>

I think the NATO AI has been tweaked to make it more aggressive to support some of the scenario development ...
