Option to play with no factions?

<t> If no-one has asked for this already, I'd be surprised but I can't find any posts suggesting this.<br/>
<br/>
I'd like to be able to play a game without any other factions on the map other than the wildlife. The reason is because I'd like to experiment and explore how all the systems work in ...

Yes. I'd like to 'second' this request. This would be very, VERY welcome. I've been waiting two years to play this 'scenario'.

RE: I am done

<t> I uninstalled the game last month as well. I have been waiting patiently for the one-map scenarios to be released since the release and have grown increasingly frustrated month after month reading the updates to see that no work has been done on them. I don't see any chance of seeing the Fascist ...

RE: Pandora vs Beyond Earth (Civilization in space)?

<r> I've never played SMAC but from what I've gleaned from reading some posts about Civ:BE from SMAC fans, Pandora is the real heir to SMAC. It seems to be much, much closer to SMAC than any other game. Besides, it's worth playing anyway because it's a good game by itself and worth a place in any ...

RE: December Update Plans

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s> First, we felt that going to next year without making another attempt to move NetPlay to a better state was unfair to the folks who've also been waiting patiently for us to fix the issues with that mode of play. Giving them a month of development time now before the ...

RE: Pandora vs Beyond Earth (Civilization in space)?

<r> Well, to be fair, you didn't state that the game was buggy in your original post. <E>;)</E> You said you played about 2 turns and then turned it off.<br/>

The Wolfe man here can't play the game at all and that is an entirely different matter altogether. So therefore, I doubt anyone will ...

Would still like to see this on steam so I could test it :(

It should be on Steam. Just Right Click the game on the menu, select Properties, select Betas tab and opt in.

However, low forum activity is rising concerns.

Ha. AGEOD gamers tend to play their games rather than post about them.[;)]

RE: Questions

Well, finally. [&o]I will definitely pick this one up as a Christmas present to myself. I expect it to cost somewhere around the region of US$90 to $100 which seems to be the current top-level Matrix games price. But I'm sure it will be more than worth the price.[8D]

RE: Pandora vs Beyond Earth (Civilization in space)?

<t> I don't have this game myself. I was only drawn to this post because of the title. But it seems absurd to me too that you can make any meaningful assessment of a 4x game after playing only 2 turns. For any judgement to be meaningful, I'd say you'd need at least one full playthrough on normal ...

Initial Impressions of a newbie

<t> I used to play the old Harpoon game on my Amiga way, way back and so this looks a little bit familiar. It looks like it has a very steep learning curve but if my first couple of hours of experience are anything to go by, it's going to be a lot of fun learning this game. Fortunately, I'm quite ...

WOTY Steam price?

<t> I really wish I'd picked this one up instead of World in Flames last year. It looks like a real, hard-core simulation, the kind of computer game I love. I notice that the 'WOTY' version is selling really cheaply on Steam just now. Is this the same game that is selling at Matrix's own store just ...

RE: My Last AGEOD Game. Period.

<r> Of course it's not your job and nobody expects you to either. But do you really need to be quite so negative when you're answering their questions? You don't think AGEOD are unable to fix the AI in the game, do you? Assuming that your answer to that question is 'No", wouldn't it suffice to warn ...
