RE: End game

<r> Have a look at the end of my AAR when I took Tokyo.... lots of Japanese bases remained in some areas, they were just glorified self governing prison camps with very poor dining menus. Its not just the cost of taking some of these versus the points gain, but its also the time wasted.<br/>

RE: Unable to disband or withdraw air group

<t> Ok you will be told that this is a section for tech issues, questions like this one need to go in the main section - its gameplay not a bug or game running issue. I got in before anyone was a bit nastier about that... lol.<br/>

RE: Stay or evacuate?

Dug in and supplied, in that terrain, he will need a lot to take it. So make him work hard to do so, he is better stuck there than free to move on.

I need to take some time to think what I do next. But its got me through some bad times this game, and the forumites are brilliant.

Thanks all.

RE: Play up, play up and play the game.... Flashman returns

<t> I am sure if you got in touch with my opponent he would fill you in, although I can see the state of play now as the game is over I have never played as Japan so my interpretation would be way off. If you just want some screenshots on the other hand if you let me know what I can grab them easily ...

<t> Posted in the main forum that the game has now totally concluded with the taking of Tokyo. <br/>

RE: Taking Tokyo

<t> It is with a sense of regret that it came to an end. It has been a feature of my life through the good times and the bad times over a decade. Nothing compares to this game. At pushing 69 I cannot envisage another game of it but it is going to leave a massive hole in my thinking. I have loads (as ...

RE: Taking Tokyo

<r> Final date was 9 Nov 1945. Each assault put my forces into the 80's for disorganisation and fatigue so it needed loads of downtime in between. I also ended up having to ship some fresh divisions from the WC to be sure of the final assault.<br/>

Taking Tokyo

<r> This is posted simply because few games ever get this far.... All credit to Mike who took this on when my previous opponent folded way back when I took the Aleutians and left him no room to sail his shiny carriers. The game was reported up until September in our two AARs, but officially it ended ...

Not a lot went on in Rashin, this suited Flashman. There had been a flurry the other day when some big Yank bomber landed having been blown off course from some top secret mission - the security troops sealed off the airstrip and even to glance in the direction of the ...

RE: Just Curious: A-Bomb

<t> Im my game I have just dropped two, they were not terribly impressive. I did so as Mike (durnedwolf) - my opponent - wanted to see what happened. we are currently just playing through to the end of the taking of Tokyo. He may reply here or he may add to his AAR. <br/>

I don't know whether its an age or a culture thing but the Agent 86 references are going right over my head.
