I think that the best solution is to make it so when you acquire a 'one per empire' facility, by any means, the game checks to make sure there isn't another. Currently the only check is to stop you from building another one.

You know you raise a good point. Even in DW1, hyperdeny felt too gamey, and so it is in DW2 as well.

Maybe what is needed is a cooldown. Or maybe it can only hold so much 'hyperdrive strength' at a time, and past that it only adds to the time to charge the hyperdrive. Or maybe it doesnt stop ...

Don´t know how far you got into the game.
But an early expansion helps alot. It´s not as much the size of the enemy but there tech level that matters. I always play on hardest difficulty to get a challange and do it the same way evry time.

Gizureans are extremy OP, they need to be nerfed. There's always one of theur empires at the top of the leaderboard, leaving everyone else in the dust.

They are the endgame threat lol

Correct, the options in the negotiation menu are gated by relations. So if you have bad relations, you cannot demand anything.

DxDiag is a program that collects info about your system- like cpugpu/ram stuff.

7zip/winzip/ other zipping programs should allow you to split a zip file into parts to redcuce the size of each part.

Because your fleet is set to use ship tactics, so if your ships are set to never engage, then they wont.

Is the system completely confusing and way more convoluted than it needs to be?- absolutely.

From extensive experiences trying to mod the game, it is very evident that the game just does not work at all with less than about 500m range. Less than 750 experiences some problems still. At 1+ billion it's usually 'okay'.

I tried to mod a railgun with half the fire rate, but double the damage (so, same DPS)

It still picked the lower damage weapon instead of the higher damage one... All other stats the same.

The fundamentals of the autodesign algorithm are totally borked. All else being equal, higher alpha, same DPS ...

I just use them like Resupply ships in DW1.

Send them to a Caslon planet and mine, have the fleet move to them to refuel. Freighters are very greedy when it comes to Caslon and will take every drop from a mine to bring to colonies. So Caslon mines tend to be empty for most of the game.

It will only do what the behavior settings tell it to do. If it isn't supposed to retreat until attacked, then it will do exactly that.

Yea, I don't understand. All 4x games have this issue- real time ones get really slow and turn based ones takes minutes to calculate turns. This has been a thing for decades. Are you mad at minecraft for not telling you that there is a very tiny rendering distance?

Resort bases have always been completely random. You could have a 100% scenery in a system with a colony, but they'll go all the way across the galaxy to get a 7% scenery location.

I have noticed that (if you have auto ship design turned off, at least)- if you unlock Skip Drives, and hit the 'Upgrade' button- it will not add the Skip Drive. Meaning you need to manually add it (defeating the purpose of the 'Upgrade' button, imo).

Go to advanced search
