RE: Future Directions - Features

Got to agree with an option for variable auto-saves.I can see why it was added after reading through most of the forums. As a very latecomer to the dinner table though, the game seems absolutely stable in it's current form.I've played quite a bit of the game now and crashes are a total rarity.

RE: Units leave the set perimeter

<t> This is something that first got me when i started playing the game.Very frustrating in the beginning. After some game time i got the hang of it.i was using line for most of my moves,it just didn't work for me.For Assaults i switched to using an arrowhead and for a defensive move a vee.Much ...

Auto save issues

<t> Anyone having issues with Battles for Greece when it comes to the auto save every 20 minutes or so.The game seems to lag for one or two minutes when it auto saves. Now i don't have this problem with BftB or the HttR expansion scenarios only with BfG.I have the new beta patch downloaded and have ...

<t> Totally agree it really is a great addition to the game.I often check out a map before i begin a battle, really helps with the planning, when you can actually see the terrain you'll be fighting through.<br/>

<t> I can understand your frustrations, having only got into the games myself earlier this year. The learning curve is huge and the AI can be a cunning dog,i've never played a game like this before,it's epic.<br/>

RE: No Attack Launched

<t> There's one unit there, the Flak LL unit. For some reason reason it's resting or can't assault and it's holding all the rest back.Stick it on def to peel it off and all the rest will do the assault at about 4.00 or there abouts and you'll take the objective before the sun comes up.<br/>

RE: Assault Pathing Problem

If you check all the units that are attached to your HQ,i think you'll find that both the AT gun and the mortar have a vehicle or two in them.I think to use OTT you have to have just the three infantry units that are attached to move through cover.OTT is a mixture of infantry and motorised.

RE: HQ's again

<t> Just started to play through BftB as a campaign using the appendix G in the manual(god i love this game).HQs following after an assault really is a major issue as they take an avoidance path, and straight into trouble.Okay so now i know about it and can deal with it.It really is a pain though as ...

RE: Attacking at night

<t> I think attacking through the night has a huge impact on fatigue levels. If you intend using the same units later during the day, they probably won't be fit.So if you secure your objective during the night assault let them rest until midday at least. You should also rest units after an assault ...

<t> Thanks for the explanations. It just took me a while with the game to work out what to do with the footprints for a while.I wasn't sure wether i had to place the HQ in the right place or wether i was short of the objective, basically that sort of thing. If the AI is deciding on the final ...

RE: I need a strategy guide...

I think you have to purchse the HttR expansion to get the guide and the old HttR.I don't think it comes with BftB on it's own.Don't quote me on this though. It certainly is very useful though.
