RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

So I noted while placing the AN/TPS-77 radar unit that there is a minor discrepancy between the US and Aussie versions of the unit. The US radar has as its sensor 1 AN/TPS-77 radar, while the Aussie version has as its sensor 1 AN/TPS-70 radar.

RE: Aircraft instant deceleration - the reason why?

Can I take this opportunity to ask whether speeds for aircraft are airspeed or groundspeed?

Im looking at F-16s going 960 knots and wondering what engines they have on them... cheers!

RE: When do aircraft start an engines?

<t> well - you can sit most fighter aircraft on alert status, which means they are ready to go in the event they are needed. You can get an F-16 depending on block engine running and EGI systems aligned within a minute, ready to taxi. F-18s on alert actually wait with engines running to provide powe...

RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - files attached

Mine isnt working... when I save the settings it does not remember them the next time I start seahag. It also gets an unhandled exception trying to find command, and even after setting the location of command manually it keeps looking for command each time.

RE: 58 more F-35As to Australia

<r> The real question is whether or not the F-35s will get into situations requiring them to out-turn Flankers. Ideally, they will not. The big thing that has been repeated by LM at all levels has been that this aircraft is not about turning and burning, its about being a 'force multiplier' and usin...

RE: Do we want Command Modern Air / Naval Operations to be a game or more of a simulation?

<t> this is a tricky area, because the question becomes how much of the human factor do you want to model? Human factors are something I prefer to see relatively abstracted - have a mechanism for 'surprise' and perhaps one for 'morale' and leave it at that - and even the morale one is stretching it....

well... they could look it up on the Command wiki, where each unit in the DB has their weapon arcs shown on a neat diagram.
