[LOGGED] Units Not Ignoring All Contacts on ASW Mission

I am finding that on my ASW patrol mission, the helicopters abandon the mission course to investigate new contacts. Afterwards, they do not resume the designated course. Is there a way to prevent that? I asked in the forum, and was told this is a recognized bug. Do you happen to know if it will be ...

Re: Ignoring All Contacts on ASW Mission

That's from 2024. Does that mean tis will not be addressed?

Any ideas of a workaround. For the tutorial it is a minor inconvenience, but for a large operation with multiple groups it could get onerous.

Re: Ignoring All Contacts on ASW Mission

I am using the included ASW tutorial.

Could this behaviour be due to scenario settings?

[LOGGED] Ignoring All Contacts on ASW Mission

I am very new to CMO.

I am finding that on my ASW patrol mission, the helicopters abandon the mission path to investigate new contacts. Is there a way to prevent that?

I have already set the following.

MISSION:
OFF Investigate unknown contacts outside patrol area
OFF Investigate unknown contacts ...

Refund

<t> I am sorry to say that I am fully frustrated with CMANO. I have asked for a refund, as suggested by one of the developers. I have received the refund. As such, I have deleted the game from my hard drive, and will no longer be participating on this forum. I thought I would give you a few parting ...

RE: Sub/Ship sonar and The Layer

Great suggestions. I'll give it a go.

But it looks like there is an error, so I guess I should hold off until the next build to try it.

RE: Sub/Ship sonar and The Layer

<t> The ship has the active sonar. The subs are passive (the active sonar is off). <br/>
<br/>
The subs show up on the ship's sonars immediately when they enter the sonar radius. Is that considered 'really close'? If so, then when does the layer make a difference? I've tried for several hours to ...

RE: Sub/Ship sonar and The Layer

<t> OK, I checked. The strength of the layer was .42. I moved the subs and ships to another area with the highest layer strength I could find (.65), and no change.<br/>
<br/>
The sonars look like they are not towed (I still don't know how that is indicated). Active only at the distance I am ...

RE: Sub/Ship sonar and The Layer

<t> Thanks for responding.<br/>
<br/>
- Are the "detecting units" using Passive or Active sonar? <br/>
They are passive for the sub and active for the ships.<br/>
<br/>
- Do the "detecting units" have towed arrays? <br/>
Not sure. I looked in the database, and I think there is no towed array ...

[FIXED B540] Sub/Ship sonar and The Layer

<t> I've been trying out the Scenario Editor, switching from side to side, to see how changing depth changes being picked up on sonar. I am using the scenario Maria & Victoria. <br/>
<br/>
I found that even if I teleport the units (both sides) to deep water where a CZ exists, the boats will always ...

The sub can see the ships, and the ships can see the subs.
