Astros MLRS Unable to Fire at Naval Target

I have several Arty Bty (SS-60 Astros 2 MLRS X 6) DBID 2206. They are placed with several naval targets in range. For automatic firing (F1) they do not fire and the Unit Weapons goes to zero. Manual firing show's green, and allocates weapons, but does not fire. They will intermittently fire upon a ...

Re: Making Awesome Maps - QGIS and You

more sharing... here's what my custom map built in QGIS and placed in the opentopomap tile cache looks for this scenario..

Looks good!

Also y'all calling out 50tb of storage for CMO maps is nuts. Do you really need to zoom down to count rivets on pixel planes across the entire globe?

The ...

Re: Making Awesome Maps - QGIS and You

If you make a custom map using the MapBox route is is "zoomable" like the existing map layers in CMO? Or is it like a static image that doesn't increase in detail the more your zoom in?

Being able to zoom in with detail would be desirable, IMO.

It is static. Zooming would be great, but the ...

Do you want your maps to look like that? In CMO? Yes, you can do it. You can do it now, without any added work from the devs, and your maps can be exactly how you want them.

We used to have G ...

Re: Stamen Replacement Option

Broken? Not really. You just don't get the placenames layer. This isn't the sort of thing you buy, like a product, but the sort of thing you purchase as a service. Even then it's access to a server and dependent on usage. Not something an individual game owner is going to convert.

For the moment I ...

Re: Stamen Replacement Option

Has the dev team provided a link to buy and install these key tiles? Or do we have to figure that out? Thanks.

So Stamen went to Stadia Maps and they are now the host. It is now a Saas setup with no allowed free commercial usage. I think it would be challenging to justify the dev resources to ...

Re: Stamen Replacement Option

My only slight quipple might be that the standard white labelling doesn't really stand out when TopoMap is in use, but I only use it for unit placement, rather than actually playing scens on it.

My only issue with OpenTopoMap is how the icons can get washed out in the bright colors. Like ...

Stamen Replacement Option

I hit up a family member who does GIS work for a living and he recommended https://openmaptiles.org/ as a replacement for Stamen maps.

There are a range of different styles https://openmaptiles.org/styles/ . Dark Matter is downright sexy for a CMO map.

Open Map Styles & Open Tile Schema

Transfer Mission KickOff

I have a Transfer mission between an Ammo Shelter and a Single Unit Airfield. If I start out with an LSVR inside the Ammo Shelter, the mission kicks off just fine and transports as expected.

If my LSVR does not start inside of the ammo shelter, it will not perform any of the mission.

Is it working ...

Re: Texture definition?

I would echo the sentiment. The photographic accuracy and detail of the Sentinel 2 layer is its biggest advantage.
While the added relief shading certainly makes it easier to see terrain, it may be a bit TOO much. It interferes with detail on the Sentinel 2 map; and that relief shading is ...

Re: Split SAM Site Not Firing

I added the matching Comm link to the TEL group and had missile launch success. I saw several SA-21 datalinks so maybe the originator had the wrong one?

All seems well.

Split SAM Site Not Firing

I saw a conversation on Discord about this and replicated it. I've not used the Split function before. But once I split the radar the unit will not fire.

I finished up Sahel Slugfest and noticed the expenditures were really really high, far beyond what is in theater. Save is attached.

The App6-NTDS system looks great, but the stylized system is a bit small to determine if it's a P or an A, at least on my screen.

[FIXED] Using Intermittent Emission Intervals

How does one use the Active Emission Intervals?

I have a radar that states emitting, or silent, but the state never changes regardless if I have it set Active or Passive, or inherited. Simple scenario attached.
