RE: Turns 71-73: 22 October- 11 November 1942

The largest tank battle of the war was about to take place on the frozen steppe to the south of the Oka.

Ooh, exciting stuff. Show those panzers what your T34 can do Loki!

RE: Turn 67: 24-30 September 1942

<t> This is looking more and more like the end of Fall Blau with Moscow instead of Stalingrad as the target. Sadly there seems to be no weakly held flank to breakthrough and encircle [:(] Also replace the 6th army with an entire army group worth of tanks and the Italians with elite German rifle ...

Oh dear, Moskva threatened in 1942? I wouldn't have thought that possible just 4 months ago! Hopefully the weather will come to your rescue as soon as possible. Let's pray for some mud...

RE: Turn 67: 24-30 September 1942

Well, things are looking quite grim now. Are you deliberately raising the tension for the sake of the AAr or are you genuinely concerned about your chances of survival?

Of course you are allowed not to answer this question to preserve your artistic integrity[;)]

RE: recon

<t> Dayum, I leave for a couple of weeks and dozens of divisions get encircled, Stavka loses morale, considers joining the gulags with e-Stalin, then changes its mind, grits its teeth and goes back to working on sending OKH to the other side of the Oder! My little peanut gallery heart barely managed ...

Tank columns fighting it out in Ukraine, desperate defense at Kursk, paradrops at Smolensk... This is some gripping stuff you have going on here Loki.

Keep this coming!

RE: Turn 59: 30 July – 6 August 1942

Losing 60 000-80 000 men a turn is okay?!? Adding to the "send them into battle and let them force the Germans to waste a few shells" approach to retiring old military hardware life really is cheap in Soviet Russia [:(]

RE: Turns 56-57: 9-22 July 1942

<t> Those casualties sure don't look pretty, but at least you're getting a metric ton of guards. And it's gonna be a long a painful slog to go through those 10 weeks of good weather in Ukraine, it's gonna be interesting to see how far back you get pushed back there. At least it looks like you're ...

RE: Turn 54: 25 June – 1 July 1942

<t> Fascinating back and forth in this campaign. I have to agree with Sorta, I too can't help but root for the Germans in this summer, if only because it will make your come-back in the winter all the more glorious (you are going to make a comeback and encircle a massive amount of German divisions ...

RE: Turn 52: 11 – 17 June 1942

<t> Shame about loosing two guard corps in Crimea, but overall you seem to be handling this summer offensive decently enough (for now). And you named the main German offensive Kursk? You're not doing some foreshadowing here by any chance [;)] ? I mean, there is what looks to me a nice plucky Italian ...

I've never played WitE, so I was probably reading the stats wrong. On the unit counter it says 1-50. What do those numbers stand for then?

Here come the Panzers! That's gonna be an exciting summer I think. Giant Red Army vs super Panzerwaffe! Make your bets gentlemen!

And damn, that's a scary Guard Tank Corps, looking forward to see more of them on the field.

RE: Turns 38-41: 5 March – 25 March 1942

<t> Time to hunker down and wait for the hammerfall then. It was a wild ride and you certainly seem in a good position to my untrained eye. Moscow is all but impregnable, especially considering the battering the German rifle divisions have taken in this sector, and Stalingrad is so far from the ...

<t> Right now I've become more impatient to see the 1942 German offensive to be honest. It's a wonderful sight to see Stavka planning and executing large scale offensives and encirclement in winter 1941, but we all know it's just gonna be temporary [;)]<br/>

RE: Turn 30: 7 – 13 January 1942

A grand encirclement of Zaporozhye? Going as far as Gomel and Mogilev? That would be wonderful [:D], but I'm afraid Stavka might be a bit too optimistic.

I don't know how your planned offensives will go, but at least the frontlines are going to end up far from Moscow.
