To make things much simple I decide a try for a single battle.

In case you look for counters GFX, just google "CIV2 Fairline" or "CIV2 Tanelorn"
These are not top/down, but very descent graphics with a lot of periods covered (from ancient,Napoleonics till WW2)
You will need to supress the civ2 purple background

In wargames traditionally Japan is always yellow and China is always red.

In my previous link, the Yellow Japanese and Red China files are still there
So you can pick up the files you wish manually and drop them in relevant folder

This folder includes all previous files, I did add JPN RED folder + CHN Yellow folder
So you will have to rename folders accordlngly to your mod.

No that was on purpose (JPN is Yellow in the Vanilla version)
However I can change no problem
RED for JPN
and
Light Blue for China?

Yes it does at least for TRP europe, so for the world version i couldnt check so far but if you use the same file then it should be OK

I think its a problem with the folder number
It seems Japan and China are swapped, cant remenber but I believe i set Japan as Major10 and china as Major 06
You can "manually" fix the problem by moving the appropriate Bmp
unit ...

Just to let you know I did add custom ressource files in the same link where the counters are.
I sent you a PM but it seems to be stucked in my outbox..

The files are under bitmpas/vichy folder
Just rename Vichy folder to Major_XX (the ID you ve decided) and good to go
