Re: CMO public beta - Build 1258.2

In the changelog it was reported that TVM SAMs now register on RWR.

But is this entirely realistic? I've read claims that TVM systems like the Patriot can guide missiles in TVM mode while still using tracking beams on the target, thereby masking their true intent.

Can you shed light on how this ...

Re: Antiship Missile Lessons from Sinking of the Moskva (Proceedings)

The author dismissed the "cube root rule of thumb" as a flawed model, but forgot in the process that the rule was derived from empirical data on attacks on warships in WW2, which had far more protection than modern warships.

The data on the effectiveness of anti-ship missiles against modern ...

RE: Re: Naval and Defence News

If the US re-introduces something like the Pershing II, I don't think that will constitute "copying" the Chinese DF-21/26. With its CSGs pushed back to at least 2000km off of China's coast, the US desperately needed an additional attack vector to put China's A2D network at risk.

HQ-9BE, big big surprise as its export variant sports a ming-boggling 260km range - which is likely a MTCR compliant number. Domestic version of the HQ-9B has long been rumored to approach or exceed 300km range with its later iterations.

LRASM: -20%<br/>
AS-4: -10%<br/>

TVM FCR radar RWR or not?

<r> In my experience playing the game, TVM FCR like the Flap Lid for S-300 or the MPQ-53 for the Patriot turn red when they launch a missile. Is this realistic: would they really give their intention away as soon as a missile is launched?<br/>

In TVM, the ground radar (tracking radar) tracks ...

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I noticed a curious omission for the seeker capability of SM-6 and ESSM Block 2. Both of these missiles have dual-mode ARH/SARH seekers. The game models them as ARH only. Would this dual-mode capability make any difference in the game? For example, against stealth targets ...
