What do you mean? all 3 are level bombers.

The upgrade should be possible when retooling factory is not necessary . Due to code limitation the game is even more stringent in this aspect than necessarily for variants. A D4Y and a D4Y-recon do not have a significant difference for example.

But ...

Instead of upgrading your PBY units to the latest and greatest models, use up the older ones since they have a slightly greater range. Also, Allied aircraft production is limited so get the most use out of every model and air frame before relegating the rest to the stockpiles.

Re: Question about Radar {game wise}

The way I understand it, it wasn't the radars themselves getting better for the Allies in 1944, it was inventing a way to make their input to the gunnery computers automatic, rather than getting a voice relayed figure and dialing it in manually. Either way, they do get better in 1944.

Good move ...

Re: Never Thought I'd Start Another One - tc464 (A) vs. Mike (J)

You can supply Adak with a Fast Transport TF which will also bombard and I believe will result in an enemy bombardment as well. You can include battleships in that task force.

You might also want to consider the weather there. I do believe that it is the season for blizzards from Mother Nature ...

Re: Question about Radar {game wise}

Considering that in the game, radar only is used within the hex, the greater the range then the more chances for detection. Since the later radars usually have a higher range that should make them more effective just from that. Otherwise, I don't know of any difference in effectiveness but if there ...

Re: Kull's Set up.... General question

I dont' use the Kull spreadsheet. It takes me 35-40 hours to set up Allied first turn in scen001 (I try to give orders to all units/ships etc). Obviously, it is a lot a work, which I am not fond of. Thus, the last time I did the full turn was 2019. Good thing I only play against the Japanese AI so ...

The I-30, also at Adak, put a torpedo into LSD Shinshu Maru causing light to moderate damage: 5-31(28)-1-0. She'll head for the Home Islands for repairs.

+1 to RJ comments regarding Resources and Fusan.

Be careful of increasing AF's that can/will be turned against you. You will make the B29's that much more difficult to deal with. If anything, I would SHRINK some of those places.

Why are you not focusing more on the A7M? I don't know this mod ...

If at all possible, get as much to flow to Fusan where it costs less to ship plus you can mine the Tsushima Strait.

In my AARs, I give up to 4 pictures with descriptions of what I am doing and why. I also offer to help if people were to ask questions and if I can show examples from my game then I will do so.

I saw your AARs. I am learning the game, and this one is very useful. Thanks for the work!
