RE: First time I have seen this

<t> Thank's for the advice. I am actually playing my own scenario, called an "Alternative Campaign". Starting from the 1941 start line, but assumes the Germans didn't get involved in a North African Campaign, also uses more forces which were stationed in the west "Army Group H" under Rommel. This is ...

First time I have seen this

<t> Playing the AI on normal settings. During the 1941 Blizzard the AI did a very sneaky trick. I had Leningrad sealed from the west. Narva, Peskov, Novgorod. Unfortunately I didn't have Tallinin occupied, although had captured it earlier in the game, also the crossing point linkig the two lakes was ...

RE: Public Beta v1.09.01 is Now Available!

<t> Thanks for posting the link..........Interesting reading. It seems with the new patch the numbers are "reasonable". I know when I started playing the game in June. I was surprised by the numbers of Russian planes being lost, also the Ground formations, Rifle and Tank Divisions. The sheer losses ...

RE: Public Beta v1.09.01 is Now Available!

Not being the best player in the world. I tried airfield bombing 1st Turn as Axis and found I had less success. Usually I destroy about 3500 Russian planes, now only around 1500/1600 with new patch. How many were actually destroyed during the actual opening of Barbarossa ?

Here is a good link showing how to form the pocket. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wh2z9-oq9s. Actually this is a very good series and would certainly be worth your time to view. All the best.

Just seen this today

<t> Hi just seen this today,"see below" bought my game on Steam, in May. Decided to try the full campaign again, I was using the patch in Beta. And noticed the 23rd Infantry Korp "based with AGN" were now grey in colour.<br/>
<br/>
So I uninstalled the Beta and now they were green. When I was ...

RE: Editor

<t> I think you are right, also could just lead to a lot of work, will give it more serious thought. Did watch a few "youtube videos" on the Invasion of Poland last night. Couldn't fault the Poles for sheer courage but didn't stand a chance against Germany and then Russia. Still maybe something to ...

RE: Editor

<t> Hi again. Been thinking about a scenario. Thinking about a German/Soviet Invasion of Poland in June 1941. Sort of alternate history. Wondering if it would be possible to set the Poles to Neutral and have the Axis/Soviets invade from West and East. Similar to the invasion of Poland in 1939 ...

Ok thanks for the help and advice, now going away to see which cites they are located in. Maybe something to consider for a Patch or for the new edition perhaps ?

Railways as Production centres

<t> I know it's possible to bomb Railway yards which are in cities, what I was wondering does this slow down or stop the movement of troops if damaged ? And if it does, how long does it take to repair ? I was going to try a little "interdiction" to perhaps stop/slow down Factories heading east and ...

RE: Named Divisions

<t> I was just thinking of using names in my own scenario. Completely new Divisions instead of numbering the formation 830th Infantry Division, giving it a name instead. Although as far as I know the only "Army formation" with a name was the Grossdeutchland. Could call them after towns like Memel ...

Named Divisions

Hi still messing about with the editor. As I'm doing a "what if scenario" I was thinking of having some "Named German Divisions" I wondering if this would mess the AI up being a mixture of named and numbered. I wasn't thinking of changing any of the SS Formations. Thanks for reading.[:'(]

<t> Thank's for your help. Still having no luck. Keep getting the message after I have placd an Axis Division on map "Unit cannot be broken down". That happens most of the time, oddly all the other units are highlighted in blue and these cannot be broken down. Again when I check the Scenerio the ...

RE: Editor

<t> Thanks for replying. I did rename the "Be Prepared Scenerio" at the very start I have also done all the steps you have suggested. First I was using the templates in the order of battle. Then switched to Copying and pasting units and renaming them. Sometimes they could be broken down other times ...

<t> Thought I would delve into the Editor. My problem is adding units to an existing scenerio. Question do I have to start a whole new scenerio, or is it possible to add units ?<br/>

I am placing Infantry Divisions on a map "The scenerio is Better Prepared" I am finding the Divisions some ...

RE: Why does War in the West begin in 1943 ?

<t> Many thanks for your quick and clear answer, I suppose many factors come into play when planning a computer game, I knew the early campaigns Poland, France, Balkans were very short. I have to say I forgot about the week long turns. The French Campaign, maybe 10-12 turns, stretching it. Poland ...

Why does War in the West begin in 1943 ?

<t> Why does War in the West begin in 1943 ? Perhaps this question has been asked lots of times. It is the one thing that stops me buying the game. It would be nice to play the campaigns of the early war years Poland "Technically not in the west. Or the Campaigns of 1940, Norway,France, the Balkans ...
