RE: Railyards, rail capacity and rail lines

<t> I have other questions about railyard damage, if I may.<br/>
<br/>
I read in the manual that above 5% damage puts the depot (port or railyard) at 50% of its level. So a level 2 depot operates as a level 1, a level 4 etc. <br/>
<br/>
1. Is there any other benefit to having higher damage ...

RE: Railyards, rail capacity and rail lines

That's great.

Thanks for the quick and informative reply. Have been reading and bookmarked a lot of your posts. Don't know if you're part of the dev team, but you are a brilliant asset to the forum/team.

Thanks again

Railyards, rail capacity and rail lines

<t> Loving learning this game as much as playing it.<br/>
<br/>
I've searched the manual and the forum but still unsure and just want a bit of clarity.<br/>
<br/>
What do the railyards do exactly? Are they only for depot use or is every railyard along the line subject for disruption of supply ...

RE: [870.4] Airstrike won't release bombs on first pass

<t> I've ran into this problem as well with using the mission planner for land strikes.<br/>
<br/>
It (something) is setting the strike altitude to the minimum altitude of the release envelope, but the aircraft are coming in a fraction below that. In your scene the min release envelope is 229m for ...

RE: CIWS

<t> Thanks for taking the time to help. I was just trying to give a new player on the Steam forums a hand, and then realised it may not actually be as simple as I thought. I'm not entirely sure how he is getting this problem though, as he is playing the tutorial and I doubt he is removing weapon ...

RE: CIWS

<t> Damnit, I uploaded the wrong scene. That's what I get for randomly bashing on the keyboard to name something.<br/>
<br/>
I've attached the correct scene this time. The US vessel should only have CIWS system and no SAM or other guns.<br/>
<br/>
Although your log does provide data which fits ...

RE: CIWS

<r> Here is the scene I quickly made up to test. The 4 vampires are already on their way in, but from a reasonable distance. The defending vessel only has CIWS. <br/>
<br/>
I assume, based on asking for the scene, that in general CIWS does automatically fire and that is the intended behaviour ...

[FIXED B896] CIWS

<t> Merry Christmas all. <br/>
<br/>
I was trying to help someone on the Steam discussion board regarding CWIS but I'm afraid I'm having the same problem. CIWS does not automatically fire... I have to manually target each missile* for it to fire on them. I would assume that this should happen ...

RE: Mis scaling UI - crashing - workaround

<t> Did you try the windows scaling option? You need to drop it down to 100% and then sign out of Windows and sign back in for Command to recognise the change (not unique to Command btw). Once you are back in, you can put the scaling to whatever you like as Command won't recognise it until you sign ...

RE: New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)

<t> Just completed this scenario. Got a Triumph victory. Few civvies killed and some buildings lightly damaged.<br/>

Really liked being given lots of options regarding hardware, and then being limited with their employment by the civilians and housing around targets. <br/>
<br/>
Really ...

Seeing as this database is down, is there another database elsewhere? Can I somehow access the games database, besides the ingame one, which gives me more details e.g. the radar arcs on ships?

<t> For DPI scaling/weird UI bugginess, try this:<br/>
<br/>
Change Windows resolution to lower resolution, I went 1080. <br/>
Sign out of Windows/shut down computer<br/>
Restart<br/>
Run Command<br/>

At this point all the weird font/window bugginess went away and Command ran perfect ...

RE: Radar/Terrain

<t> My mistake. I'll need to do some more testing with that. My attempts so far using P960s, one nestled in a cove and the other out to sea result in them picking each other up on radar at the same time. My assumption was that the one out at sea would be spotted first. I assume then that it may be a ...

RE: Radar/Terrain

From my limited experience the only effect terrain has is blocking LOS. So you can be seen with eyeball/radar or you are behind a rock/peninsula, no vagueness or noise caused by proximity to terrain.

RE: "How not to be seen" as a submarine

<r> The enemy subs do travel above the layer as well as just under and max depth. I followed one sub for hours that would alternate above and below the layer. You do risk missing contacts on the other side of the layer if you don't check. <br/>

It may increase the risk of discovery by ...
