RE: Schedule for the new year?

<t> HaughtKarl when are you expecting to die? Perhaps the schedule can be changed to suit. How long do you need to enjoy it?<br/>
<br/>
An easy tacview workaround is to use paper aeroplanes. Colour one red and one blue with crayons and then you can add sound effects for realism. <br/>

RE: RUNNING POLL - gameplay features

I'd like to see the new Chance of Appearance option to be saved within .inst files much the same as EMCON states are saved. It would be useful to be able to import random chance group builds in a few seconds.

RE: RUNNING POLL - gameplay features

OnMapClick -> For Lua. This way you can for example take a Special Action and link it to a specific point on the map of users choice. This could be used for many many purposes. One example would be giving orders (mission teleport or similar) to a side that isn't yours.

RE: Air / helo escort of a surface fleet

<t> OK I just want to enter this discussion as I've been watching it, and others similar. I spend a good amount of time myself helping new users or people who are confused about features. The issue I am seeing here is that thewood1 is answering a question and rather than just leave the question ...

RE: Interest in CSG Daily Campaign

<r> It's evolved from campaign to a project far larger. Currently I have the majority of carrier operations down along with area of operations. It's quite hard to explain as it's become a live running scenario as opposed to a time limited scenario. I've got about half the Pacific modeled in some ...

RE: Question about AI's use of radar

<t> It's an interesting discussion. Here's what I do with my TF:<br/>
<br/>
All aircraft fly at 1000ft to their patrol/mission(s).<br/>
<br/>
Under normal circumstances I have aircraft emit only on station. In combat however, they are all off. As I use a modern TF and the recent addition of the ...

RE: Cargo additions for scenario designers

Could you explain how to rename the cargo? I could not work out how to do it. Also that would allow someone to, for example, deploy tanks when instead it should of been just supplies that had no individual capabilities.

Cargo additions for scenario designers

<t> <br/>
Cargo was my most anticipated feature and it certainly delivered. It's expanded my operational capability tremendously. However I do miss the old generic cargo. Just to confirm what I'm on about it was the old 2t / 4t etc variants labeled just "Cargo 2t", although I can't remember exactly ...

RE: Converting to Steam

Just booted two games up at once through Steam while in Online mode. Worked perfectly fine. Could you please show me where it is against their policy? I think, although maybe mistaken, that you are referring to their Source engine games; which can not be used at the same time.

RE: Converting to Steam

Steam does allow you play two games at once. I've never had an issue after an update to Steam about 2-3 years ago. I also run Steam version of Command on two computers at the same time with no issues. Hope that clears some things up with some members.

RE: Adding DB3000 objects

Yes. Rename the existing unit to one of the 7. Then you can go to the Weapons / Sensors button on the unit and add / remove weapons and sensors. This allows for upgrades and variations.

<t> Poor Old Spike it seems that you like winning. You realise if you purchase a Thai bride it's because you can't win a real woman who loves you right? It's the same as buying a save game just before the victory and claiming you win. <br/>

RE: Ready Times Redux

<t> I think you misunderstood my post.<br/>

Clearly the error is material. Because why else would it affect a scenario? Don't take that the wrong way either please. What I'm saying is, if Command changes how the formula works for ready times then it runs a large risk of breaking a lot of ...

<t> This is how I work things out in my scenarios:<br/>

<t> Some work arounds people may not of thought of that I've used myself:<br/>

RE: Commercial Ships Import

<t> What I have done is used Support missions as the shipping lanes. Then using import .inst files to import ships in to these shipping lanes. The downside is that all ships must start at "the start" thus requires some sim time to get smooth traffic flow. Not been an issue for me but may be for your ...
