Re: what do the NM values of various cities really mean?

Yeah, no loading up off Lrats off the west coast and sending them direct to invade Japan. You actually have to island hop now.

Re: DE 109: Sell the Cotton?

Sorry for the late reply.

Always sell the Cotton.

European intervention is too easily countered by the Union.

Any suggestion to improve this for my mod?

All I can think of at the moment, is maybe adding events that move the Europeans toward the Confederacy.

As it is in the base game ...

Re: what do the NM values of various cities really mean?

SC War in the Pacific doesn't have LR amphibious transports. It makes for a much better and more realistic game.

Re: DLC idea.

Yeah, I saw the announcement.

That upcoming DLC announcement, got me thinking about how nice it would be to have a similar DLC for SC ACW.

Re: DLC idea.

At the Brigade level, combat would take place the same as it does in any SC game, between adjacent units, except for artillery which would have a 2 hex range.

The scale would be similar to the Crimean war scenario in the Concert of Europe DLC. The SC system worked very well, and very realistically ...

DLC idea.

I think the game system would be perfect for recreating famous individual battles from the American Civil War.

Battles such as gettysburg, antietam, etc, would be fun to fight at the Brigade level using the SC system.

So does this sound like something the player base be interested in?

Re: Server Communication Error [-5]

I reported it last night. This morning I received an email stating that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

They also stated that the issue was intermittent. But nobody are the forums has reported it being intermittent.

It sounds like all the SC games are affected.

Re: The New AI is better but..

Could there be an option to allow the AI more time to "think"?

I realize that you usually just get a small improvement in the AI for a larger amount of time. But those of us with faster computers might be willing to spend the time to get even a small improvement.

Re: Tips for playing Allies in MP.

Ive come around to your way of thinking about the allies shouldn't lose with evenly matched opponents in the 47 campaign.

I now believe that you were correct, that the 45 campaign is much better for MP matches.

Re: Tips for playing Allies in MP.

Same guy. I have only played against this one guy for the last several years. We get along well and are both retired.

He is much more of an MP player than me. He has played in several SC tournaments and has done quite well.

This is the first time I've beaten him in SC WaW.

Re: Tips for playing Allies in MP.

I finished my game with a major victory for the allies at the end of 1945.

Following Umeu strategy, I was able to survive as both Russia and China and then launch couter offensives that saw the Russians take Berlin and the Chinese clear their country of the Japanese. I defeated Japan first, using ...

The 1870 campaign was great.

Looking forward to the Crimean war.

Hopefully I'll be accepted into the Beta. I enjoyed beta testing the Civil War.

Assault on Communism

This probably has been brought up before, but I myself, think an updated version of the old, Strategic Command Assault on Communism, would be a great addition to the game series.

Its well known that the naval system in SC is somewhat lacking, and when I want to play a SC WW2 game, I find that ...

Re: Japan DOW Rhodesia and its aftermath

Agreed about Australia not being able to do much if they lose the south. That would be realistic. Though I doubt their Army units that were still in Australia and intact would just surrender. Perhaps Australian supply could be severely curtailed or the remaining army units get a large morale and ...
