RE: Where is the Red Army?

<t> Thanks for the responses. <br/>
<br/>
I understand that the game is more abstract that say War in the East but not having a line or front line on the eastern front is rather immersion breaking for me. If the gameplay does not simulate lines, breakthroughs and pocket creation on the eastern ...

Where is the Red Army?

<t> Hey guys, I'm rolling into 1941 and facing an inevitable attack from the Axis so I keep wondering where is the Red Army?<br/>
<br/>
I know there are more forces spawn when attacked but prior to reserves being called up the Soviets fielded almost as many troops prior to Barbarossa as the Axis ...

New Model Army

I paid the EPs for NMA decision but nothing seemed to happen, no change in units, no new adds to the force pool.

How does the NMA manifest is it new units, new unit cards, upgrades etc?

Parliament play so far

<t> Hey all<br/>
<br/>
Enjoying the new game greatly but I do have some questions.<br/>
<br/>
As parliament I had a good initial turn, I gained all of my "declaration" event attempts and forced marched to capture and hold Bristol within a couple of turns. I also managed to park Essex in Oxford ...

Invasion woes

<t> Hey guys.<br/>
<br/>
I finally launched my invasion of France in the Normandy area and encountered a few issues.<br/>
<br/>
1. When it came to do the air drops I appear to have not enough transports. This is after I moved all my transports from the med and was trying to drop the same amount ...

Divisions not refitting

<t> Hey guys<br/>
<br/>
I pulled two panzer divisions from the east front and have had them sitting on a depot with their HQ on a rail line for 8 months. Even though they are priority 4 for their corps and depot (and are in fact stacked with their corps HQ) and have no other units in the corps and ...

Do generals improve ratings?

I have some generals in my current Axis campaign with over 100 victories and no defeats, does that have any impact on their abilities or their units?

I assumed the mechanic of recording victories and losses must have a purpose but wonder at the practical effect?

RE: Fortifications in Italian alps

Thanks for the tips. If you have any more keep the coming!

Something I'm trying now is to defend the area around Etna on Sicily and funnel Italian forces in to support the German units and try a fighting retreat back to Messina. Anyone try that?

RE: Fortifications in Italian alps

<t> Thanks for that, it helps. If you or anyone else have some hints for the Axis let me know. I read all the ones I could find on the forums already. <br/>

One thing I was considering was moving a lot of infantry down to Italy and basically moving as much armour and mech out as possible ...

RE: Fortifications in Italian alps

<t> Hmm, ok makes sense. Thanks for the response.<br/>
<br/>
I am new to the game and frankly it is somewhat overwhelming at this stage. I saw that APs are rare for the Germans. I've played War in the East as both sides and am finding this game a very different experience. I also feel that I have ...

Fortifications in Italian alps

Is there any reason while playing as the Axis I shouldn't disband the fortifications on the French border of the Italian Alps?

Seems like a lot of manpower I could be using elsewhere.

Ah, ok so my mistake was assuming I could get the unit to Naples in one move. Thanks for your help!

Sorry for my confusion!

RE: Insufficient port to move 90th PZ

Yep just tried again. Moved one regiment of the 90th PzGren into Cagliari and tried to ship it to Naples. It says insufficient port capacity to load the unit.

That's the biggest port on Sardinia so how do I get the 90th back to the mainland?

RE: Insufficient port to move 90th PZ

I've tried all the ports on Sardinia. I've tried only 1 regiment at Cagliari and it won't allow it. Says insufficient port capacity to load.

Insufficient port to move 90th PZ

<t> Hey all, this has been driving me nuts. I'm trying to move the 90th Pz Gren from Sardinia as other people seem to have done in their play throughs but even though I've divided it into 3 Rgts every time I try to ship it to Italy it says there is insufficient port capacity to load the unit.<br ...
