Yeah, you're right. When I just jumped it up to 17" but left the two forward turrets with four guns each it liked it.

Larger point still stands. This is a ridiculous rule and the devs should jettison it and let you call your ships whatever class you want. And base the selection of ships for a ...

The issue appears to be the 17" guns. If I leave it at 16" and give it the improved director the game doesn't have any problems with it.

Reiterating: the whole idea of limiting the player's choice of ship types is very strange and offputting. At least the game should make the rules violation clear ...

And if so, it would be nice if it were documented somewhere. Maybe the game could even stop you from wasting your money by calling for an invasion if your forces in the area don't meet the criteria?

The enemy has zero forces in the sea zone in question. I have two cruisers. Is there some absolute amount of force that you must have to conduct an invasion?

.7z works best as a save option because the compression level is a lot higher and I think the forum software doesn't like large files (at least this was the case in the past).

Any flooding should qualify a ship for detachment, even more so if the level of flooding would make it impossible for it to reach a friendly port before sinking.

Fleet size option?

Does the choice of fleet size (small to super large) in the campaign setup screen have any impact on the size of the player's fleet, or is this just a difficulty option setting how big the AI nations' fleets are? Because my navy always seems to be the same size regardless of which setting I choose ...

I edited the .sac file by changing the invasion transport groups' tactical stance to 2 and sinking the shore batteries. The invasion transports then sailed to their objective.

I had another carrier battle where the enemy didn't launch any strikes, presumably because they were looking the wrong way. This breaks battles once carriers have come in.

Note BB Mecklenburg Fire extinguished at 12:41, Fire spreads 13:07. It is showing Fire level 1 after being out. They were hit at 13:04 and 13:05 by shells that did not penetrate their armor and no mention of fire started at that time.

This is the way it works with me, whether it is a new game or I loaded a saved game.

I notice on the main screen where it has tips, it says that the "run 5 minutes" button will run for an hour if you are out of contact. I remember in previous editions it was 20 minutes and the tooltip still says ...

That is correct. Several countries had their tensions increase, including both those I was spying on and those where the intelligence level was set to "none".

This is also happening with DDs assigned to support CLs on scout or screen orders before DDs can have screen formation. Same problem, you can't give them any orders until somebody finds the enemy or the statutory 30 minutes have passed.

The countries that were hit were not being spied upon at all. I reserve my intelligence expenditures for enemies or people with superior tech.
