Re: [WAD] What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

I felt I was the one being attacked by someone who might have hacked my userid ! maybe even by the poster replying to my post. You did come across as if you wanted to pick an argument in your initial replies !!!

Bro, you disrespected thewood1 when he was trying to help you clear up your ...

Re: [WAD] What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

While not prolific, you aren't exactly new. You've been posting here, the tech support thread, for 4-5 years.

And I don't take someone accusing me of a personal attack lightly in on of the few forums I post a lot in.

As I said before, I thought my userid had been hacked when the title of my ...

Re: [WAD] What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

So I guess you took back the "reporting" to the admins. Since the admins are the ones that put "WAD" in the title. Again, my original point is about not getting so worked up easily!!

Of course the matters all cleared up, my problem wasn't really with you - my concern was who added [WAD] to the ...

Re: [WAD] What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

There should be no place for "name calling" or "disrespectful remarks" within brackets on this or any other forum.

I'm not sure why adding "Works as designed" to the title for internal handling in a tech support forum is "name calling" or disrespectful...

Re: [WAD] What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

It is working exactly as its designed. In fact, there is a lot of overlap between the two dbs. The split is more around the technology than the geopolitical environment. I am not sure there is a single realistic scenario of late cold war you can't do with DB3k.

There is no disagreement to ...

Well for me the Cold War didn't end until 1991 - so we will have to agree to disagree on that point.

Unfortunately whoever inserted [WAD] in the title of my post - has started a formal ...

Re: What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

You seem very worked up over this!!

My understanding from a couple sources is that the Sea Skua did not enter service until early 1980s. Outside the scope of CWDB.

In fact, right from your link...

"The first launches took place in November 1979 at the Aberporth Range in Cardigan Bay. Three ...

[WAD] What no Sea Skua missiles in the CWDB_509 database !!

I cannot find any reference to the British Royal Navy, Sea Skua missile in the
CMO Cold War database, CWDB_509 and therefore unable to use a Navy Lynx Helicopter
with a loadout of Sea Skua missile in the Scenario editor.
Also it looks like the Royal Navy Lynx HAS.3 is missing as well.

Of the ...

Re: Database request: More Soviet hypotheticals

What about the BIG DADDY !!! of Soviet hypothetical aircraft namely the Lun-class Ekranoplan, Soviet classification 903. Which progressed beyond proposals & blueprints to become "the real McKoy" with the actual missile lobbing, sea skimming aircraft being tested on countless occasions in ...

How safe are the Harpoon Harplonkhq.com zip file downloads ??

Hi,
Has anyone tried downloading the complete library of Harpoon 3.6.3 scenarios zip files from the Computer Harpoon website
lately at:

http://www.harplonkhq.com/Harpoon/H3scenlist.htm#134

I was just wondering "how safe they are to unzip" as I got a warning on my Laptop not to unzip them on my ...

Re: CMO vs Modern Naval Warfare the new kid on the block !

I always thought MNW was much more a submarine game with some fairly abstracted surface capabilities. Very much like Cold Waters.

Yes it will be interesting to see what users reactions will be when the Beta version becomes available.
I did like Cold Waters but it suffered from being just a one ...

CMO vs Modern Naval Warfare the new kid on the block !

Hi all,

What's members view of Modern Naval Warfare or MNW as were starting to call it now ? I know it's been a long time in
the development stage but I'm wondering from all the promotional video's, whether this is CMO with "the Eye Candy"
namely fully visually simulated ships, aircraft, radars ...

Re: High Frequency of CMO Updates destroying user scenarios

This is someone speaking out of complete ignorance and almost comes across as not having played the game in 8 or 9 years. And for someone to advance him as a validation point that scenarios are broken with the issues he is raising is at best just click-baiting or at worst just try to troll. I'm ...

Re: High Frequency of CMO Updates destroying user scenarios

The DB and such haven't been updated as frequently as they were in the past, and we just had a major update so we are still in the latter parts of a transition period.

CMO is an order of magnitude better than CMANO. Short of definitively not being able to afford it at full price (then wait for a ...

I'm a big fan of Mike's work. If you're reading this, Mike, I want to say thank you for writing that blog - it's fun, it's readable, and your updates were an exciting part of life during the COVID-19 lockdowns!

Therefore can Matrix Games seriously consider maintaining 2 CMO's...

High Frequency of CMO Updates destroying user scenarios

Mike - Famous for his Cold War turns hot 'Third World War in 1987' Blog published a Rant last night that will no doubt chime with a number of CMO editor scenario developers who've had their finely tuned CMO scenario obliterated because their user scenario is no longer compatible with the new CMO ...

<t> This is a question for CMO Scenario builders, namely have any of you ever thought of<br/>
setting up a points based system for say a naval wargame where different ships, aircraft<br/>
and weapons are all given scenario force composition points; depending on their strength<br/>
