RE: Unable to to enter 'Aircraft' button??

Have you switched monitors recently? My guess is this is an issue with the window position. Go to game options and reset windows to original positions and see if that helps.

RE: Chains of war mission 1 repeatedly crashes

Hi Dimitris,

972.13 seems to fix the problem with Chains of War Scenario 1. I've managed to play about 30 more minutes of game time (also about the same amount of real time) without any crashes. I'll let you know if anything changes.

Thanks for the quick fix!

Thanks Dimitris! I'll give 972.13 a try tonight or tomorrow and update this thread with my results.

RE: Any way to improve accuracy for SAMs?

<t> I've found that most AAW missiles are far less effective at max range than they are at 60% of max range or less. So depending on the level of opponent I often set WRA to restrict automatic firing until a much closer range.<br/>

Bear in mind though that when facing top tier opponents with ...

Norwegian F35s

<t> With Norway now having received it's first squadron of F35s I'm wondering if anybody has created a future conflict scenario involving Russian aggression which makes use of the F35. I'm on a bit of an F35 kick right now having recently played Brass Drum, Play the fool and have started slowly ...

RE: Question about firing torpedoes.

<t> Ideally you would think that if the torpedo detects a target in it's sensor cone it would then ignore the waypoint and attack automatically but from my experience, that's not what happens. It will ignore the target and continue to the waypoint unless you hit F1 (not shift+F1) and then click on ...

RE: Question about firing torpedoes.

<t> I've noticed this odd behavior sometimes as well if you manually set a waypoint or manually BOL fire the torpedo. It will go to the point that you select regardless of whether it detects a target and ignore any targets it detects until it reaches the waypoint, then circle around that waypoint ...

I updated the posts to include some pictures. I was only albe to embed one pic in each post so there are also a few more links to external photos hosted on GDrive. Not sure how to embed more than one pic in the actual post. Any help or suggestions with that?

RE: Trying to figure out how to use WRA and missions to achieve desired results

<t> I've had some struggles getting Land Strike (with SEAD weapons) to launch at all despite the targets radiating. Whereas if I use a SEAD Patrol instead, the aircraft will launch automatically every time. The problem with a SEAD Patrol is that there are no waypoints for ingress/egress that you can ...

<t> Hi Gunner,<br/>

Yeah I definitely think I could've done a better job managing my BVR missile use, particularly in that MiG29 engagement. And, that sniper idea with the long range RIMs to throw off enemies using SARH is a great idea! I just used the trick during an engagement with some ...

English Jets over Uganda, 1973 Tutorial (SPOILERS) - AAR by new member

<t> Hello All,<br/>
<br/>
This is my first AAR. I was a lurker on this forum for a while now as I've been always been interested in military Sims. However, I was a little put-off initially by the scale and complexity of Command. But anyway, with the Steam fall Sale 67% off I finally decided, what ...
