Re: Yugoslovia coup

Wait, what? Saying yes to the Irish ports is a bad idea? Why? Yours Easily trolled new player you don't need them, they are only 5 strength max so you can't even fully repair a ship with it. But the main reason is that it pisses off the USA, so they have less income, which is very bad. How much Ame...

Re: Yugoslovia coup

I think the game has changed and early invasions of Russia are not that good anymore. But if it was prevalent, then yes I guess it would be a good idea to have an early Axis DoW on Yugo be penalized a bit more. But I think different strategies should be viable. If you both want a game railroaded by...

Re: Yugoslovia coup

I would love it if players did that in my games. Losing Yugo is a trade I would make any day for getting 10-15% Russin mobilization bonus in fall of 40. I don’t really see the issue. Attacking Yugo early objectively gives Axis less benefit than the Allies, and it’s only maybe viable if going for a ...

Re: Yugoslovia coup

It’s a nonevent in many ways, but most events in this game are nonevents in the sense that there very clearly is a optimal and much less optimal choice. For almost all events it’s very clear that you should either always choose tes, or always no. There are few events where the choice really depend ...

Yugoslovia coup

The Yugoslavian coup has become a nonevent in SC WatW. Most Axis players know it's coming and invade before it happens. Allies endorse the event automatically so Germany doesn't get a free minor ally. To reintroduce uncertainty and stem the unrealistic German preinvasion of an erstwhile ally, I sugg...

25 pts plunder from Chungking AWOL

Japan captured Chungking, notice popped up at the end of the turn saying "Axis plunders 25 pts from Chungking", but no points were added to Japan's account. Just the MMP's for the new turn and the remaining unspent ones.

Sub blocked from moving next to ship

Not seen this before. Some new rule for ships and action points? Or did they just change how the inaccessible hexes appear? Hexes all around the CL are prohibited entry.

Re: Russian mobilization frozen at 0

Going by recent experience at seeing Russia stuck at 0 % mobilization long term thanks to the Finland venture (and banishing the French communists) I don't think your Russian numbers will start to pick up again until the Axis starts messing about in the Balkans and places some troops on the border....

Russian mobilization frozen at 0

The Allies were successful in Finland which reduced Russian mobilization diplomacy. Then I stupidly thought that Italy "preparing for war" would allow me to move ships through "the neutral zone", so it took another hit. But now, 7 turns later, Russia has had a diplomacy of 0 and ...

Re: Yugoslavia

I would suggest two things. 1) add a mobilization penalty for Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania, for attacking before the coup. 2) Have some chance of failure of the coup, so its not an automatic for the Allies, but then also don't make Yugoslavia automatically become a Axis minor if they don't invest ...

U have 18 months to get Yugos by diplomacy and you get 5 units that fight strong so Barbarrossa without with yugos in your side is easer and note;.. even if germans do well in barbarrossa if japan is at war with russia in manchukuo there is a chance that a soviet unit surrender to japan and japan w...

Is this a patch or a total reinstall? The download from the website is listed as a main game download and it wants to install that way, instead of patching my existing game.

Re: Djibouti garrison

it can stay Allied forever as long as a non-French unit occupies the city. This was the original French garrison, which stayed Allied for a number of turns, then I moved it out to use in another city and it became Vichy at the end of my turn and the garrison vanished. I've never had Djibouti remain...

None that I see pop up as a message block. You'd think that Germany suddenly invading what seems to be an ally nation would have a negative effect on Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary, as well as Stalin.

Yugoslavia

The going theme for Axis players seems to be to attack their Yugoslavian ally as soon as feasible, despite it being 45% pro Axis. This is gamey as players are using pre knowledge of the coup to their advantage. I would suggest that invading a pro Axis Yugoslavia before the coup trigger a negative ef...
