Re: SeaBee Alpha - WitP:AE Install & Configuration Application

Thanks Ranger Joe, that problem has been solved.

However, during animations (previous day's debriefing), I get intermittent Windows reverts to 800x600 resolution. Pressing the "Esc" key fixes it.
It's a bit annoying, but nothing alarming.

Re: Allied or Japanese Opponent Needed (Game v1128 Scen 1 or 2 Stock Map)

Hi Paladin333,
I'm up for a long PBEM (Player-by-Player Evolved) session. One or two turns a day is no problem for me, scenario 2 if possible, either playing as the Japanese or the Allies, whichever you prefer, with the rules you've listed that suit me perfectly.

I can start quickly, even on the ...

Allied Player Wanted...(closed, opponent found)

Hello everyone,
Allied Player wanted on latest version 28b, 7 or 8 rounds per week minimum, rules to be determined, beginners welcome. :)
Only for scenario 2 "campaigns" (Hakko Ichiu) preferably and in "ahistorical" mode because the latest official version seems harder for the Japanese player.

Night recon is best. At a 0 range....GP

By BBFanboy,
Correct. If you want to have a Spotter aircraft it must be set at night (when virtually all bombardments begin), Recon mission and 0 Range. This must be the FP on the largest, most powerful ship in the TF that will fire first (not ...

To "RangerJo"
The DL of the target, the amount of munitions fired since the BBs carry fewer rounds with fewer guns that the CLs and the CAs, Gary Grigsby's die rolls, the captains of the ships, whether or not the escorts bombarded, the fortification level of the targets, the number of ships at the ...

Re: Naval bombardments

to "Bo Rearguard"

Re: Naval bombardments

Hi everyone,
I'm back to the topic of naval bombardments.
US bombardments with 3 CA/2 CL/6 destroyers inflicted far more damage on airfields and ports than Japanese bombardments with 4 BB and 10 destroyers!
This was in July 1942.
I find that abnormal.

Re: Naval bombardments

Yes BBfanboy, I made a mistake, I meant yards, not miles. :?

Indeed, there were no maritime reconnaissance missions in the port, and besides, I'm playing on "very hard" mode, which might explain the uncompromising nature of the action.

(I won't play on "very hard" mode again; I find it much ...

Naval bombardments

Hi everyone.
Since the last official update, I've noticed that US mines do more damage in Japanese naval bombardments. :(

Yet I set the bombardment range to over 15 miles and without an escort, and in the end, I have one cruiser and one destroyer hit. Are mines normally placed at harbor entrances ...

I'm trying to post a screenshot...

At the very bottom of the image we do not see the pictograms of city and port infrastructures.

Re: SeaBee Alpha - WitP:AE Install & Configuration Application

Hi everyone,
I changed my PC laptop and now have Windows 11.
I reinstalled the game and See Bee.
Everything is fine, the game is fast except that in fullscreen or windowed mode, the icons for factories, shipyards, etc., in the cities at the very bottom of the screen are practically hidden, even with ...

Re: Strategics bombings

Okay, I'm willing to believe that's the game, but I find the number of VP lost to bombing (even strategic)
is exaggerated compared to troop and ship losses. :?
I think there needs to be better calibration on this subject...
Thanks for your comments.

Are you seeing a "FIRES" line in the Tokyo pop-up? Those really rachet up the damage level.

No, actually, the fires were extinguished two days after the attack.
Of course, in light industries, I lost 740 out of 2,240, and only a few in ...

Re: Strategics bombings

I think there's a bug because after bombing Tokyo with their 3 CVs, the Japan player had a 350 VP penalty in strategic bombing, and 10 days later, we're up to 1860 VP!
Small and large industries were affected during the raid but since then they are gradually repairing themselves, so why are the ...

Strategics bombings

hello everyone,
I couldn't find this thread on the forum, so I'm taking the liberty of jumping in.
My opponent (the Allies) started repeatedly conducting strategic bombing raids right from the start of the game.
After three weeks of play, I've already lost 1860 VP.
What are the general rules ...
