Re: What can we learn from the Houthis' successful ASBM attack?

The situation is maybe a little bit more complicated

Re: Dual-use radars are too capable

CMO does not generally take into account multiple modes. It's unclear where they would find the data to support it, even if the software had it. Most radars have at most two modes, a search mode and a target illumination mode which is basically equivalent to STT mode on a real radar.

This is ...

Dual-use radars are too capable

Hi all,

In CMO, some dual-use radars are too capable against very high altitude, high speed and low RCS targets without remote cueing. For instance, the AN/MPQ-65 is capable of detecting a Scud B at more than 95km of altitude and 175 km away.

[DB ERROR][1277] BMD radars detection issue

Hi all, here is a small issue I found while experimenting with BMD:

In this test, I'm trying to evaluate both the range and the maximum elevation vs. a given target by firing, from separate sites, five time the same TBM at points located at various distances from the defending SAM site. I am using ...

Re: [[1147.49] BMD issues w. the SAMP/T NG & TBM targets

Oh sorry I mean the elevation of radar.*

The GF300 can scan from -20° up to 90°. There is no max elevation or blind spot.

And for the aster 30 issue, normally missiles with a KKV can only engage targets that are above 100km. In your case the targets are already below 100km.

The Aster 30 ...

If that's the case, it's a DB error. The Aster 30 is fired from vertical canisters, there is no maximum elevation angle.

[[1147.49] BMD issues w. the SAMP/T NG & TBM targets

Hi all,

I'm experimenting a TBM engagement with the SAMP/T NG GBAD system, using the Ground Fire 300 radar and the Aster 30 Block 1NT interceptor. The targets are three Scud B fired at close to max range, at targets in the vincinity of the SAM site.

Issue #1 (BMD_test_2): The GF300 is unable to ...

Re: 1271.1-Amraam NEZ shots are occuring around 12nm

I'm one of CMANOs founding four and have published and sold lots of scenarios, a battleset and one game. I worked for AGSI and the Harpoons in the past as well. I definitely understand the complexity of the issue, but playability is important too. I think the whole rationale for WRAs on day one is ...

Re: 1271.1-Amraam NEZ shots are occuring around 12nm

Yeah I'm looking for a more successful choice than the default which is to fail. Even if you're on the side of this default configuration the AI's WRA will need to be adjusted or it'll be a crummy opponent.

To me, setting up good WRAs is your job as a commander. It should also be the mission ...

The 12-13nm NEZ actually makes sense and is consistent with flight sims.

If you're referring to the very good paper on the AIM-120C5, no. I did however write a paper on the 530D for Razbam, though some parts could not be made public because the M2000 is pretty much still in development.

41nm to stall an AIM-120D with a database range of 86nm, less than half RMax.

Conceding that the motor burn is correct, thats how solid fuel works, then something else is not if RMax cannot be acheived on a straight line run. I calculated the deceleration and it was in the order of 2G, which ...

The only place you'll find 40N6 in this case is in the C ring or St Petersburg. where ABMs should reside. The rest will just be 21's with 48N6 (all flavours) and 9M96 all flavours.

Not really, the 40N6 is primarily intended as a HVT buster, meant to go after tankers, AWACS, JSTARS and other ...
