Re: Force Occupies/VP Event Editor Question

Interesting that VPs occasionally experienced a lag. Maybe it has something to do with housekeeping at the end of turns. It’s a problem I’ve never encountered.

Since VP counting only starts upon a change of ownership, here is a suggestion.
Off map, in an area not accessible to the US, give ...

Red

Were you able to get a loop working? If so, please share.

Regards, RhinoBones

So I've found some time to do the testing, and I think sPzAbt653's loop was exactly what the doctor ordered (and thanks so much!!!). Although there is this weird inconsistency... sometimes when Force 1 occupies ...

Going to give that a try. I looked at the loop thing, and my addled brain couldn't come up with one.

Re: Rommel's Iraqi Campaign 1941 V1.12

I’m always interested in hypothetical scenarios and even though an Axis takeover of the Middle East has been explored before, I don’t think it has been done in the detail that you provide. Nice job.
A couple of comments...

Re: Force Occupies/VP Event Editor Question

Here is what I have come up with. I think it will work, but like my sex life it is awkward, ungainly, and grotesquely complicated.

The color coding on the spreadsheet was intended to make this mess easier to follow. Each turn in the "Force Occupies" section (Events 1-15) is color coded by ...

Force Occupies/VP Event Editor Question

I swear I TRY not to bother you smart guys on the forum, but here I go again.

Working on a scenario about the US invasion of Panama in 1989. It's a short and sweet scenario, and the world needs more of those. (Kind of a fascinating little action as well, with interesting equipment [ M551 Sheridan ...

Re: Evil Event Editor Question

I recently uploaded a revision to the scenario 1941 Operation Munchen v02. In it events 60 thru 65 are an example of what you are designing. The scenario events are for objective tracks, but you can easily adapt them for formation orders. Your probabilities would be 25, 33, 50 and 100. Suggest ...

Thanks, Rhino! Will download and take a look. That Event Editor is a fickle mistress. She's beautiful, but high maintenance.

Evil Event Editor Question

Well, the Holidays are here, and I've got a million things to do, so OF COURSE I dusted off an old unpublished scenario and dove right in.

Here is my quandary.

To keep it fresh on replay, I want to have an unexpected offensive to occur by Elmer. I was thinking of having one of four options happen ...

Re: Creating the h_tile and s_tile

For all terrain and the counter files, I do all of my design/editing on the H_tiles_[ name of file ]

From there, in paint.net, you can CTRL+R and resize by percentage. Pick 50%, and save as tiles_[ name of file ]

Then I CTRL+Z and undo it back to the original size.

Resize again, but uncheck the ...

Re: Lost in scale

Thanks, I was leaning towards 7,5 miles per hex i.e. 12 km per hex for divisional/regimental/brigade.

What I don't understand is your link between unit size and time scale? What is the reasoning behind please?

Time scale: 4 hours up to biweekly turns (regiment/battalion 4 to 24 hours, brigade ...

Re: Star Icon

Trying to figure out what you need exactly here.

Do you need an h_counterunit sheet with the star already applied in a layer? Or do you just need a star that fits inside the background square of an h_counter?

Could you please walk me through those instructions to play the mod with these graphics

Let's see if I can remember this:
There is a folder called Graphics Override. Actually, there are two: one in your C drive and one deep in your Documents folder.
STAY AWAY FROM THE C DRIVE ONE.

The one to thank for the graphics is Redass (T. Walsh). The credit is his.

Re: Nazi Germany's Biggest Mistakes That Lost WWII

For some reason I cannot view that clip in the UK.

There are probably many reasons the Germans lost WW2:-
1 - They never invaded Britain.
2 - They were late in invading the USSR in 1941 as they subdued Yugoslavia first.
3 - Not digging in before winter set in in 1941 in Russia.
4 - Declaring war ...
