turns out i wasn't on the newest version, which solved the VP auto switching to the ai. I guess either it was recently patched or the game doesn't install the newest version when installing?

Why do you need to put a unit on top of the VP to control it, or the ai auto gets it?

Given alot of VP points cant be out in the middle of the open, why would anyone ever put a unit on them? Or how in some missions you have 10 ground units, and there a bunch of victory points. Some way behind your ...

Issues / Questions:

Why isn't population being shuttled around by Ai?
I've seen multiple cases where the colonization logic sends a totally mismatched race to a world (so they end up at like -9 because they HATE that world - but it would have been +30 with the correct race from my empire ...

I have a few times where a pirate would cancel the NAP and the process would need to start over, but this is fairly rare

It is extremely powerful todo, and there generally isn't any reason not to.

could try never building resort bases? not like they do anything any ways

but yes migration seems next to non-existent, except when that -20 sustainability race pops up with 1k pops and drains your econ

Resort Bases are bugged i assume, as you cant get above 2k income with them

You cant colonize planets under +20, they will destroy your econ. (also you need to make sure no other race sneaks on your planets, as you can get a race with -20 sustainability with no way to remove them. It will then ...

The different ships, with different hardpoints/fire arcs give each race a different feel. A valid improvement/tradeoff that seems to be disregarded. bonus income isn't included in cashflow. Its not uncommon for bonus income to actually be your main source of income if you have a high upkeep. The main down side is it can't cover your now crippled research and colony growth

There seems to be major issues with the population control. As far as i can tell there is no way to manually move population so when it screws up there no way to fix it. Even worse it is probably crippling the AI.
