I've been playing both sides against the A.I for sometime and think I am finally ready to play against a human. I am happy to play either side the first time out - I'm sure there is a lot more to learn.

I've played the PBEM games in Strategic Command but I am not familiar with the procedure ...

Addendum: I saw on the Options > Settings menu, an item called "Windowed Mode". If I turn that off and restart the game, I can access row 137. In "Windowed Mode", I can only reliably see row 135.

What does "Windowed Mode" do? I can speculate, but I am not sure exactly what it does.

I am having problems with the bottom row. My opponent is Axis and is raiding the Egypt/Iraq -> UK convoy routes. If I scroll out, I see the indication of a sub on the bottom row. But if I zoom in to actually carry out an operation, I don't have any access to even see his sub on the map board.

Quick question - what defines a successful intercept?

My notion of the rules is that if you have 5 or greater strength fighter you get 1 (or 2 intercepts if you have Aerial warfare). But the fighter unit takes damage (and of course can cause damage).

Should the measure be what are the total points ...

Thanks for that! Also, when I changed from my big monitor (2400p) to my laptop monitor (1080p), it changed the layout sufficiently to allow me to select my ships I couldn't select on the bigger monitor.

F4 though is the better way to go.

P.S. - I agree completely it is cheesy, but the Axis player did it so -- I have to respond somehow.

There is an annoying problem in the left hand corner of the screen/map where the terrain information makes it impossible to select units near the British colony port. Two German units are attempting to blockade the port and I cannot attack them. It seems the terrain info masks the units underneath ...
