Running WITPAE on a neu PC

Hi Admirals!

I have been playing the game for quite a while now (almost 900 turns) as the Allies against the Japanese AI (Grand Campaign scenario, currently on April 30, 1944).
However, i have just bought a new PC and I am willing to continue playing WITPAE on the new machine, but without having to ...

Para drops in non-bases hexes

<t> Hi All!

I’ve been playing Scen #1, as the Allies against the AI in around 700+ turns already played by now.

In Burma, I was trying to use the classic “blitzkrieg” tactics, by 1. Sending Para drops ahead to secure important river crossing hexes, 2. Having armored units ...

Different Resources affect Allied production?

<t> Hi All,

I’ve been playing Scen #1 against the Jap AI.
It’s Nov 1943.

Upon checking the Allied Production, one question came to note regarding the Production mechanics:

Does bringing in Resources from different places to a Production site affect the ...

Thanks, guys, for the valuable input here.

Sumatra Japanese AV Gas production

<t> Hi WITPAErs,

Upon reading recently a World at War magazine article on the battle for Sumatra in WWII, I remember reading that “the Sumatra-based oil refineries produced around 75% of the Japanese Av Gas during the conflict”.

Does anyone know if that’s replicated by the ...

RE: Why can't this air group be Withdrawn

After collecting everyone’s input here (tks a lot, btw) and trying several options, I’ve followed Ian R’s 3rd option: put the squadron in a damaged AK and send it north.
I did and it was sunk near Singapore.

End of story.

Cheers,

Felipe

RE: Why can't this air group be Withdrawn

<t> The message is, after I click on "Yes, to Withdraw Group?", "Planes and pilots of VS5 withdrawing".
But nothing happens and the Squad keeps there, and by the way, increasing the number of aircraft.

There are no other units of this Squad anywhere else in the map.
Assigning Air Group Leaders

<t> Hi All,

I’d like to have your valuable input and feedback on the following:

- Upon assigning more effective Air Group Leaders, be it a Fighter, DB, TB or FB squadron, I’ve focused on picking up the leaders based on two criteria: Air skills and Aggression. I’ve not ...
