Re: JBeil (G) vs eisman (S)

Nice work! One of the tips I picked up years ago is that you want as much Germany infantry marching towards your objectives as possible - you can use the RHG security divisions to mop up pockets or the infantry that arrives after Turn 1 so that you keep your original units moving and keep the ...

Re: been awhile looking for bitter end

Greetings,

I would be interested in playing a bitter end game as the Soviets. I ran a big multiplayer game on the Hex discord a few years back where my team was summarily crushed. I am relatively intermediate in this game.

no +1, harsh blizzard
no airborne drops
no amhib landings

any thoughts ...

Looking for Charly 5

Greetings,

I just finished a PBEM game with Charly 5 so I thought I would reach out on here if there was a way to get in contact with someone over PBEM otherwise I don't know how to connect.

Thanks!

Greetings! Can you post the screenshot? You are saying that units in supply are actually out of supply/fuel on the game screen?

RE: Soviet Arms and HI points

<t> I think the more important thing to realize as the Soviets are what other factories to evacuate outside of arms and HI (i.e. tanks, planes, armored cars, rockets, etc.). You will find that you can normally get away with evacuating just a few points from those factories rather than the whole ...

RE: Winning Strategy

<t> The 1942-1945 scenario is too easy for the Axis. The Soviets have barely any cavalry corps and get so many units surrounded on turn 1 that the Germans are at the Volga right away. In addition, the Soviets have few internal reserves since so many units are stuck on STATIC mode. It is easier for ...

RE: Have WiTE 1 and also 2

<t> I think the fuel bug is probably a bigger issue for opponents who are not evenly experienced/matched up. The issue is that in 1941 in particular you are never quite sure if a panzer is getting real fuel or extra fuel bug fuel and that can become a real problem. If you survive 1941 in good shape ...

<r> Congratulations! There is a Road to Leningrad walkthrough on the WITE Library of Resources that I highly recommend for new players because that really helped me a lot.<br/>

You are right that you do not have to always keep all panzers attacking. Ideally, 1-2 panzer corps do an HQBU every ...

yes there is a check mark below the textbook that says "Embed picture in post." You also need to convert it to the right file format so that it loads.

RE: Turn 67

<r> I broke out 2 rifle divisions and a Guards rifle corps from an encirclement, and shifted some reinforcements back this way. A tank army from Stalingrad and a cavalry army from Moscow are brought back here for a turn, since the turn before mud is always very dangerous. <br/>

<t> I love the description of HOI3 as "minimal detail"! <br/>
<br/>
After the first two turns when the Germans run rampant, you wait for your infantry to catch up while your panzers refuel on turns 3 (and do an HQBU build-up where you want to attack) and maybe turn 4 in some areas. Then you use ...
