What a game.
Big thumbs up to the team.
For me the perfect match between accuracy and playability.
Love the detail, the events, the lot
So far reached 1910 in my first game, playing as the US.
One more turn for those 14’’ guns…
Thank you,

Cheers,

Battle of LZ Albany - 17 Nov 1965

Again a 12 turn defensive battle.
After arriving at the LZ, our troops started digging in. We made 4 IP's (40,22/40,23/41,23/41,24).
The enemy started firing at our positions from the W, N and E.
After a couple of turns enemy troops also started assaulting the LZ.
During one of those assaults, we ...

Battle of Tu Vu - 9 Dec 1951

A 12-turn defensive scenario.
2 companies must defend and hold the Tu Vu fort at all costs.
One company is defending the Southern stronghold of Dong Bai at the start of the scenario.
On the North bank of the river a second company is defending Tu Vu itself.

The enemy immediately ...

Hoa Binh- Operation Tulipe

What a fight…
After a couple of shorter battles and scenarios this map promises to bring a real challenge.
At the very beginning it’s already clear: A large force, with armored assets and only a few major roads. It will be tough keeping the troops on the move, fast enough (15-turn limit), but ...

Hoa Binh 1 Operation Tulipe

Today the game crashed completely (back to Windows desktop) in turn 10/15. This happened twice when one of my units ran into an ambush at the same spot on the map (near the two objectives in the middle of the map).
Will try to locate the exact spot in my next try.
Bit frustrating, because of the ...

Re: Ninh Binh

Day 5:
15-turn battle.
Holding on to all 3 objectives, we managed to gain a major victory.
Losses are high, but the line was secure.
Around turn 9 we took the heaviest casualties, when the enemy launched a large scale assault on our positions.
Combined arty, MG and light arms fire repelled the ...

Re: Ninh Binh

Day 4:
Heavy fighting, delaying attacks from the West, resulted in heavy casualties.
We were unable to reach and make contact with friendly forces near Ninh Binh in the NW.
Despite the enemy attacks we kept our 3 objectives secure.
Result: Major victory

Day stats:
Side A SP losses: 40 / 142 points ...

Re: Ninh Binh

The day 3 battle has ended.
Despite capturing the Southern objective in turn 9, advancing North with most of the troops and keeping pressure on the Northern objective with constant heavy arty fire, we concluded the day with a major defeat.
Capturing the second objective is clearly paramount in ...

Re: Ninh Binh

Day 3 battle is moving on…
After turn 9 the Southern Objective is captured.
Heavy fighting is commencing for the Northern obj right now.
There’s still remnants of enemy platoons harrassing our troops moving up North.
Bitter fight..

Just to say that I’m still enjoying this gem.
Having played a French scenario today, 1948, capturing all location objectives, but failing to capture the enemy leader and depot resulting in a minor defeat ;)
Big thumbs up!

Re: Support

Quick update after a second playthrough of bootcamp 3.
566 points, minor victory.
Got A Coy back to Dak II, but was one turn short of getting them back in the Firebase.
As said before on this forum, following the instructions step by step does help a lot in achieving points and a victory.
Great game ...

Re: Support

Ok, First playthrough of bootcamp 3 resulted in a minor defeat (+- 270 points).
Two questions:
1) One Huey wasn't able to load any troops. Not enough capacity. I tried Inf platoons and leaders, but to no avail. What could be the reason?
2) Is there a quick way of identifying to which company your ...

Re: Support

One question: Does firing at the enemy (using action points) affect the ability of your troops to defend during the enemy’s turn when he assaults your position?
IOW: Are you able to defend against assaults when AP’s are low/depleted?
I already read that depleting your AP affects your margin for ...
