Are there any penalties for overdue aircraft withdrawals, similar to ship overdue withdrawals

I am beginning to think some supply routes use too much fuel to transverse and are not efficient.
The Cape Town to Perth or Darwin routes in particular. How do you go about evaluating this.

I have noticed that at the front aircraft replacement is frequently delayed. Is it advisable to remove depleted squads to the rear and can you get replacements there sooner
