Re: To many barak 8 after database update

So just to make it clear.... this is not a realism issue, but a gameplay/balance issue, correct? Will this issue and the similar Barak 8 bug in Flaming Seas both mentioned above be assigned to Kushan to be fixed in an upcoming update now that this information has been reported here and you're aware...

Re: Thoughts on how to model pilot fatigue at the start of a scenario

That sounds good. IIRC the vet level of units impacts reaction time and pilot skill, and it makes sense they would perform worse due to fatigue.

If you wanna go a step further, consider switching the ops tempo to sustained ops. This would reflect the need for additional recovery between flights.

Some developer clarification the DLC's issues would be nice.

Re: Looking for feedback on a "limited world war" scenario idea

To be honest, I'm not sure this could happen in Europe. Soviets had troops stationed throughout the WP, and the viewed the WP as a necessary buffer zone against an invasion from the West. I could see this happening in either the Middle East or Asia. They are far enough away from the USSR heartland t...

Re: Northern Inferno Mission 9: Campaign-breaking bug with Bomber mission

Hello Dimitris. I assume you have come here from the Steam forum thread. Thank you for your concern and willingness to help, I appreciate it. The Steam list of bug threads I have created was intended as catch-all list of bug threads I have made that relate to scenario issues. Of the list, only two o...

Re: Your favourite scenarios?

For detailed briefings plus events, I highly recommend the scenario Under African Skies, 2017 by Feltan. The scenario is a 3 day sandbox where you are given a limited set of US assets to prepare the way for an invasion of Nigeria, but there is a constant stream of secondary objects and flavor events...

Re: Sea Power

NGL, I was disappointed by Sea Power initial release. I still think it's a good game, and the devs have been patching it in the right direction (most of the updates so far have gone towards the mem leak issues and finishing up the save feature), but it was certainly not the 0.9 version they advertis...

Have you tried detaching them from the group and ordering each one individually? This worked for me on the Raid on Kismayo scenario.

Re: Shoreline, I actually did it

Nice job. This one is really hard to do. Barely completed it myself. I checked the scenario in the editor, and I think the reason it's so hard is that database updates to the game beefed up the originally depleted SAM batteries of the Indian naval group. The Indian carriers received Barak SAMs at so...

Re: Showcase: Icebreakers impressions

I'm trying hard and I have a lot of issues with the Zircon strike, only one ship of my SAG tries to engage them, the others don't do anything even if they have radars on and have SM-6 (the Tico for instance). Anybody having the same issue? It feels like I'm missing something. Haven't reached that p...

Re: Showcase: Icebreakers impressions

I looked at the scenario in the editor. The win/loss conditions seemed to be tied to a Lua script that prints out a text-based assessment of your performance once you either reach the objective or time runs out. The text serves as an epilogue that details the political fallout of the engagement and ...

1328.13 Some issues with Red Tide Scenario 1

1. The pre-made P-3 ASW patrol's prosecution zone crosses over into the NNZ around the Soviet islands. This can be solved in the editor by removing all the points labeled "Soviet TTW" and "TTW" from the prosecution zone in the mission editor. It's a minor issue, but I have to go ...

Re: Strike Missions do not launch automatically after activated by timer

I previously posted a similar issue. https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10230&t=399661 As a temporary measure, is it possible to force the AI to create a flight plan using Lua Script? Of course, so as not to spoil the story for the players, regardless of whether or not there is ...

thewood1 wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2024 1:48 pm Haven't looked at the scenario, but can't a flight plan be pre-generated around the NNZ for the AI and it'll launch when activated?
That would only work for stationary and pre-detected targets, not ones that are moving and have to be found like the US CVBG in Scenario 2.

Re: Strike Missions do not launch automatically after activated by timer

Logged #15468 Normally I'd fix this by turning off the NNZ, but I'm going to push for this to finally be fixed properly. Thanks Kushan. Yeah, it doesn't make to just turn off the NNZs here. In scenario 2 the direct flightpath would take the Backfires right over Turkey (which would instantly give aw...

Re: Scenario 1 Woes

Replaying Red Tide because it was fun. Poking around after this scenario was over revealed that the Soviets only go hostile (and the Fitter strike is only made active) when the Golf is detected in the TTW. If you pick it up outside the TTW, the event won't trigger (player gets notified of this when ...
