It was on v1.1.0.9 that I noticed the issue (but I hadn't played since close to release, and there were various performance issues back then, so I don't know whether the issue was new to 1.1.0.9). The issue is still present as of v1.1.2.4.

Hi. Have come back to the game after the Aurora update, having hardly played it since release, and overall i am loving it - the gameplay and performance has improved dramatically (and i still had a lot of fun with it at release, despite the problems) - but I'm finding my performance collapses ...

Just out of interest, how much is the upkeep of all facilities in addidion to the planetary support cost ?

If resource mined belongs to the private sector, why should the resource trade & fueling come under the state's balance sheet? shouldn't that be under the private sector balance sheet?

Unless the state owns the resource, but then in that case why state have to pay for the resource when building ...

Ohhhhh. I think this must have happened to me. Is this the early story event that the Mortalens get? When I had it it was a Boskaran colony on a continental world. Which I assumed was some kind of bug or oversight.

Thanks - really helpful! Definitely needs adjusting though - the high population drop-off of income on higher difficulty looks ridiculous, and is not made clear anywhere in-game, and the game gives you essentially no tools for dealing with it - other than committing periodic genocides against your ...

A huge help would be to go to the tech support section and fill out the bug report form and give the needed crash logs etc because so far it looks like its specific hardware combinations that are causing the issues. This is why some players have had zero issues from day one and others are ...

Yeah agreed. "Show civilian ships" particularly is something I like to toggle a lot but it's a pain having to go to the main menu. Is really useful being able to see where the flows of civilian traffic are, but it kills performance lategame!

Yeah, i've never once seen a star that actually had resources, so i assume being able to build mining bases is essentially an oversight?

I mean I guess the option's there because they just share the same code as planets, but it doesn't seem like there's ever a reason to do it.

Does come with downsides. It can end up being quite expensive if it's with a foreign pirate race or if you do it with a lot of pirate factions. But also, if you do it a lot, you end up with a massive permanent malus to relations with every other empire for being friends with their enemies.

It's worse than that - they still seem to have tech development & planetary improvement AI enabled, so it's not just a free planet but often a free planet covered in galactic wonders.

Think they're saving that for the expansion. There's occasional Hive ships that show up lategame and are pretty strong, but it's not really a crisis from what ive seen
