I seems to me that when they're automated and they chose to capture on their own, it works normally. It's only when you manually give the order that it's a problem.

I just made myself a handy little PowerShell script to keep an eye on the usage and warn me it's about to crash when it's > 30GB. It polls every 15 seconds.

You can see it's fine for about 43 minutes, then starts growing out of hand soon after.

Secondary bug in both saves: My generals were on the troop transport fleet. Manually assigned. At some point their location changed to: Laser Cannon (S) Lv0 from X

Moving them back to a real location takes about 4 years. This has happened twice.

It's timed. The usage increases until it barfs, though the time it takes to get there varies.

Maybe I'm remembering Distant Worlds 1, but it definitely used to be that they'd stop firing once the assault pods landed on another ship. Having the Capture mission had some intelligence behind it. And sometimes it still does. It appears random.

Ships keep attacking during boarding attempt.

I keep having trouble where I tell a fleet to capture a ship or base, and they don't stop attacking once their shields/armor are gone and capture is in progress ultimately blowing up the object instead. I have to micromanage any ship that's launched an assault pod and have it fly away so it'll stop ...

Wow. I totally forgot about this post. It was whatever beta was out on Sept 3. It seems fixed in a new game under 1.1.7.4.

But in that new game the Harmonious planet techs are gone entirely? Maybe that's enabled by an event? They're set to false in the XML and I don't remember.

I don't see a thread for it, and I'm surprised no one's seen this yet.

A few techs in the Ikkuro tree are overlapping vanilla techs.

Change settings to use smaller lists. Apply.
Exit game and return. Setting is not saved.

Reported once before. Been a bug since launch.

I'm having this issue, also, and am NOT using random tech trees. I've researched Officer Training but cannot build the Military Academy facility anywhere on 54 colonies. I think there's more to this.

Despite having plenty of Caslon and being below Reserve amount, I cannot refuel with any ally with whom I have a Military refueling treaty. Example station in screenshot.

Also, I can access that menu shown and edit ally Maintain numbers. That probably shouldn't happen.

It could be working as designed.


To my understanding, that maintain level is only to influence freighter deliveries. They will deliver Caslon constantly until that level is reached ...

Check to see if their mining station's reserves are higher than their minimum level? (if the game allows you to see the other empires resources that is) ... you could cheat and bring up the editor to see what it is (if the editor shows this value).


It is above minimum. You can see it for allies ...

Military Refueling not working?

I haven't been able to refuel at any ally Caslon mining bases or planets, despite confirming they have an abundance and having a Military Refueling treaty.

Clicking refuel with the ship selected doesn't consider allies fuel depots, and even ctrl-right click doesn't give the option.

Am I missing ...

Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just missing something:
1) If I get a pop-up for a relic site and I open the main menu before answering the prompt, I can never get the pop-up again. It's no longer in the side panel.
I've tried going into the Message history to access it again, but it just shows ...
