Thanks you guys! LOTS OF FUN! some annoyances. mostly cause the game won't let me play more when I want to.

So, this isn't a good answer, but I've been having a discussion on discord and they seem to think the engines are fairly useless as they do not actually increase maneuverability. I would love someone to prove me wrong.

It DOES say that in the manual. And I noticed the colonies expanding too, but I always thought maybe it was when you find a similar-race empire, they assimilate it. Is that what happened?
