Re: Editing the Blue and the Gray Scenario

Thank you again for your reply.

So, It's not possible to have two "separate" wars going on where a side on each is controlled by a single player? The USA vs CSA and Mexico vs. European powers/Mexican Empire? They could both later be joined as one war if, say France is at war with both Mexico and ...

Re: Editing the Blue and the Gray Scenario

Hmmm. That worked. However, I don't want them to start the game at war with the Confederacy. I want to control them when the European powers invade them. How do I structure that?

Re: Using the Editor

Thanks for replying Bo Rearguard, I appreciate it.

You were correct. However, the folder was not showing any of the cgn files. It only showed the 3 folders I mentioned. I had to go to the c drive to the folder. There I found the cgn files and could load them from there. It also now lets me see the ...

Editing the Blue and the Gray Scenario

Hello,

'm doing my first edit of the Blue and Gray scenario. I call it "North America". I want to be able to play Mexico and the USA both under player control. How do I set Mexico to be controlled by a player and not by the AI? Please advise.

Using the Editor

Ok, I played the Blue and the Gray scenario and had fun with it. Now, I'd like to make a mod of the game where a player can be both the USA and Mexico.

So, I opened the editor. Clicked open a default scenari0 > Blue and Gray, and... It opened up another window with 3 folders in it: scripts ...

Scenario: World War I

Hello,

Well, I have made a lot of progress. I realized I'm not making a mod but a modified scenario. I'm trying to clean up the "1913 Great Game" scenario. I learned how to properly save the scenario as my own renaming it "World War I"

First, I cleaned up the map some. I got rid of Serbian hexes ...

Re: Trying to make my first MOD

Ah Ha!

Eureka! the files were in the wrong folder. I had to go to Documents > My Games > Strategic Command-World War I > Campaigns.

I found the answer in Balthozar's ealier post in this forum "How to add a MOD in YT."

Re: Trying to make my first MOD

Thank you HootsMaquire,

However, that's not it. I did it just the way you said and it's not showing. Could it be in another folder? I go Matrix Games > Strategic Command-World War I > Campaigns and all the data folders with cgn files are there.

Trying to make my first MOD

Hello,

Well, some improvement. I found the 1913 The Great Game scenario cgn file and data folder. I copied them and renamed them and put them in the campaign folder. However, when I go to the game, it's not listed in the options to play. Like it doesn't exist. How do I get the mod to show?

1913 Geaat Game Questions

Hello,

I'm playing Strategic Command WWI. I'm playing the 1913 Great Game campaign. It's lots of fun! I'm really enjoying it as the Central Powers. Oh, I'm playing as single player, vanilla version.

So, I came up with a couple of questions:

1. The British declared war on the Ottoman Empire with ...

Is It Possible To Keep The USA Out Of The War?

Okay, I have been playing a very good game. I'm playing the 1914 Call to Arms scenario, vanilla. My strategy is to
1. Go East first, Not West, and take out Russia first.-Done, Got rid of them in 1916.
2. Not invade Belgium. Since I"m not invading them I'm disabling the script that lets the allies ...

Italy

Hi,

I see there are two scenarios, One where Italy joins the Entente (historical) and one where Italy joins the Central Powers. Is it possible in either game to "flip" the alliance? I'm playing 1914 Call To Arms, vanilla. I have put all the Central Powers diplomacy chits into Italy, up to 60 ...

The AI No War on Belgium Script

Okay, I am very frustrated tonight and feeling I bought a lemon from Slitherine. Yet, that could just be my inexperience but here it goes. I'm going to vent!

I spent hours of time tonight playing 7 turns of the vanilla, 1914 Call to Arms scenario. I deactivated the script that allowed the AI ...

Re: The Suez Canal

Meah. I may go back and edit the scenario so that their is an "Island" called India. Perhaps set it so it is invade-able. That way if the Turks take the Suez Canal the convoy line gets stopped.

The Suez Canal

Hello,

I'm new to the game and I'm very much enjoying it. I do have a question about what looks like an error in the game. There is a convoy that runs from the mouth of the Nile river to Britain. There is no convoy out of the Suez Canal. This seems like an error. Shouldn't the convoy be moved from ...
