Re: Quick Questions Thread

There was a latter change that gave High Command HQs unlimited command range

Thanks. Are you talking about update 01.04.05? I'm asking because I read the logo, but maybe I missed this change. Also there is a number on the HQ encounter of the army group that shows the distance to the OKH ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hi guys. Which of these three solutions would be most effective when the Axis forces and Army Group HQs are moving away from Berlin:

1) Leave OKH in Berlin. In order to keep the Army Group HQs no further than 90 hexes away, keep these HQs at a greater distance from the subordinate armies;

2) Leave ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hi guys.

Am I right thinking that I can transfered all three RHG HQs from Soviet Garrison to the map (and all I will suffer will be a slight reduction in ground capabilities in Soviet Garrison)? Since RHG is an Army-sized HQ, I'd like to have them on the map, and send Allied aviation or unnecessary ...

Re: The RED Fires of Hell (HLYA as Soviets VS Unknown German)

Thanks for AAR, HLYA.

Perhaps you could explain your point of view in more detail, very interesting:

I LOVE attacking German infantry. Other people can go for the tanks but the Infantry, in my opinion, is a better target.

Thanks to both of you. After the last very long Tyronec campaign, I thought this one would be long too :)

PD: If you want any screenshoot I also can provide.
Please share print screens from your maneuvers that led to the encirclement of the Soviet troops, if you can. Its very interesting.

Re: Newbie question about visual updates

Thanks.

Probably, It would be a good idea to try the game with the original map first, in case the improved maps have glitches.

BTW I downloaded the latest official version, but I'm still having the problem that the screen scrolling through the map is very laggy. The image changes very slowly. Do ...

Re: Newbie question about visual updates

Thanks PaxMondo and Yaab! I will try select different map set, if that will not work, I will try different version of game (because yaeh, I have some latest beta version).

BTW, maybe there is some others visual updates, that experienced players are using?

Newbie question about visual updates

Hi guys. I'm a WITE2 player, completely new to WITP.

I know that the best way to start diving in to the game is to read the Manual. However, I like to read the Manual and at the same time try the game. Therefore, I would like to update the game's visuals. I tried to upload Kamikaze map, but somehow ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hi guys. Do I understand correctly that this is mistake in Manual? I've seen discussions on the Forum, but there doesn't seem to be an undisputable answer.

I think it is a mistake, because usually good (modern) planes have higher reliability rating numbers. Also, for ground elements (such as tanks ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hi guys.

I try to supply units far from the rail network by creating a new depot (for exeple, in large city with air base) and supplying it from the air. This way air resupply works better than dropping supplies directly to the air base, because that way you can also supply divisions further away ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

2by3 is cooking something good at this moment. Is going to be WW2-ish though. I hope the announcement comes soon :)

I read that it will be a Middle East war game, but I'm not sure if that's true. Maybe the theme of the upcoming game is already known? Will it be a large-scale complex game like ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hi guys.

Do you know of any PBEM games that would be as complex and deep as WITE, but would cover a different time period? For example, the Napoleonic Wars or the Cold War. I would really like to play a game of the size and scope of WITE, with the same logistics and command&control issues, but in ...

Re: How to know if we playing 'no early ending'? :)

You can see the options in the game option screen in the Difficulty tab, but it sounds like you likely left this at Standard in which case it will end early. If the scenario modder removed the early end conditions from the victory screen, you will see that there are no VP levels shown in the ...

How to know if we playing 'no early ending'? :)

Hi guys! My friend and I started a new GC41. We agreed to use a scenario modified through the editor (Germans are allowed to build units). We also agreed to play a no early ending scenario. Now we are already in T3 and we realized that we didn't check if we used the no early ending GC41 in the ...

Manpower you get HiWi manpower from, see the manpower production section of the Manual.

Thanks Wiedrock! As I understand, you can make some difference in manpower pool by capturing cities with manpower factories and connecting those cities to the rail network.

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Hi guys.

I have read in the forum that manpower, fuel and other factories of occupied cities do not affect overall production. But I wonder: if it were possible to occupy the oil factories of the Caucasus and repair the railway, would it be possible to increase the oil production of Germany? Or ...

Transfer AA Battalion from City to High Command HQ: 3 AP
The manual says that AA units in TB's are treated as "attached to cities". However, I have not seen it in practice.
