Re: EXP loss by exchanging elements

The Panzerfausts are in a number of units - 15 grc have 525 normal, 471 with the panzerfausts.
presumably captured equipment. I have 3400 with pf in the pool and 5200 normal rifle 43.

Seems a high % to me, wiki says they were only incidentally used by the russians in 1944, but...

Re: EXP loss by exchanging elements

Interestingly, rifle squad 43 seems to have 2 different versions
one with 10 men and a panzerfaust, one with 11 without.
rifle + is 9 men.

Re: EXP loss by exchanging elements

On the Ground Element map, you can see that under Rifle squad it has Rifle squad 41,42,43 etc.

Take a look at the production screen and what you have in the pool.
It should create the latest items, and convert available outdated to newer items.
In my current game I have
1409 * rifle squad 42 ...

Re: Font and icon scaling

not a direct fix, but Nvidia allows you to fill the screen, so my pc is set to 1920*... but it is expanded by my video card to 3840*...
Means you don't have problems with font scaling, but can still use your monitor.

This is for Wite1,2,witw, and any other games you wish to play. No comment on wis ...

Re: Do you ever feel your FBD automatons are f-ing with your head?

I think.
1. there is a rule they won't work next to the manually controlled FBD.
2. To me they seem to pick a route then follow it. - annoying when the route leads to a dead end with no value.
3. How they choose.
Experiment with attaching to a lower level HQ. remember the max ranges, but with any ...

Germans on retreat abandoning fortifications.

Playing Russia I am finding that the Germans are making unforced errors by leaving important and fortified towns empty at the end of their turn.
Even important production centres / towns with L3 fortifications can suddenly be empty. Even putting a few low value units in them would hinder the soviet ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

And if I dont have any Superioity Directives at all, what else will bring my fighters up to the slaughter?

If I understand correctly, the problem is that your fighters auto-intercept too much during the air phase?
The solution to that would be to reduce the "Mission AC Pct" for AS.
Like ...

Re: Depot sending out freight during enemy turn?

I know, but on the higher levels they demand more supply from further and further away.
so your chance of having any spare reduce.

Re: Depot sending out freight during enemy turn?

are your units in combat in the enemy turn, do they get an ammo resupply after a combat?
Have you tried turning down the priority of your units.
I found it difficult to keep depots topped up in a previous game, but if you set your unit priority down, I think they are less insistant, don't burn ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

It seems to me the following:

If there is combat in your hex, then any planes nearby will come out to play.

If you turn off air support, and put all planes at rest that might stop interceptions in the area.

But If any air forces have units doing an air mission in the area, then they are likely to ...

Re: Q from a starting player: how would you start planning if you knew nothing about the enemy?

There are a number of real military resources.
Have a google for army field manuals. america has put many of them online.
or the 7 Questions (British).
Basically:
What is the situation and how does it affect me?
What have I been told to do and why?
What effects do I need to achieve and what ...

Re: Tracking Spreadsheets

I have started to write a c # application to load the exported files into an application.

My initial screen shows the HQ and its subordinates.

Clicking on an HQ in that list will give its subordinates.
My initial aims:

1. to identify HQ and its underlings.
2. To easily see the sub ...

Re: Axis port supply not working April 1944

If you did this again, and have cargo ships, I would set the priority of the port to 4. and a source port to 3 or 2.
If supply can only go to a higher priority destination, and your source port is 2, will it supply a dest 2 port.
I imagine you would want top priority there.

lag

Hi, I am a new user, but:
I have tried to start a couple of scenario.
I have a real problem with the lag on selecting something (eg airbase)

I am happy for a delay reading a message in combat etc, but I can't live with what seems like a second or a second and a half delay after selecting anything ...

Have you tried a night few missions as russian to engage the LW.
Try to exhaust them before your main attack goes in.
