Nah, nothing works consistently. I've tried disabling software, verifying game files, rebooting at least 30 times and maybe once i was able to load a scenario over the last 2 days.

Hmm I also have Razer Synapse and it has a process listener to switch profiles if command.exe is running. Might be on to something here, will do further testing.

So got this error trying to load a scenario about 20 times in a row then thought I'd try something different and do a "Create New Scenario" then immediately did a File | Start Menu | Start New Game and I was able to load a Scenario just fine. Well it's back. I was playing CMO earlier today just fine and now anytime I try and load (or edit) a scenario I get "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

- Running in Administrator Mode
- Did a verify integrity of game files in Steam
- Rebooted PC

Well with an uninstall, reboot pc, full install, reboot pc, it's finally working. Not sure how it got corrupted, but thanks for the help guys.

I do have that file with the right content in it. Tried recreating it, but no change in behaviour. Still not working.

I did a complete reinstall yesterday, but I'll try again with a complete reboot after uninstall and before install. Not sure what else to try.

This update works fine on my laptop. I compared the Exception Logs on my laptop (working fine) and desktop (failing to load) and noticed all the messages are the same except when my laptop message states "License: Command full version" my desktop spews out the 2 "Object reference not set to an ...

Thanks for tip. .Net is good about updating if an app needs a specific version.
I did check though, and I have 4.8.1 of .net framework, and versions 3.1.32 through 10.0.12 of .net (core).

Ok, I got around the hanging at the Load Screen (totally forgot about the Launcher, I've been bypassing that for the last couple years.)

I still can't load any Scenarios. Here's the Exception Log when trying to load a scenario:

As per your thread, Dimitris, on the Steam Discussions i rebooted my PC (it already had the latest updates) and then CMO was getting stuck on the Loading screen. I completely deleted CMO and reinstalled it. It's still hanging at the Loading Screen but there is a lot more info in the Exception Log ...

FYI, Edit Scenario and Load Saved Game give the same error too.

Tried that, It didn't help.

Hmm, just noticed I messed up the version number when i created that zip file. I mistakenly called it version 1.07 in the file names, it should have been 1.7.0.
To reduce confusion, here's the exact same file but with the correct version numbers in the name...
