Re: Show of hands: keep or remove "quick access" doctrine settings on right column?

Hardly use them.

(I do use Altitude and speed though. A lot of times it's just to glance to see if i overrode the auto speed and altitude)

Re: Simple Strike

Interesting. I was going to try that this morning. During the UK landings the ARG also used those hills in West Falklands to their advantage attacking ships in the sound. That's my next focus.

I've been thinking about the Strike radius and RTB stuff. When armed with a strike loadout we get the ...

Re: Simple Strike

Thanks for the replies. Also thanks for that document. It makes great reading for a project (physical boardgame) I am working on.

1. I understood when I launched (without AAR) that the target was at the limit of the strike profiles max radius. I guess I was hoping for more accurate information in ...

Boy those images are a little big.
I could resize my original images next time but is there a way to specify a size of an attachment in BBCode?

Operation Ghost Rider - Version 2

Here is a new go at Operation Ghost Rider w/t Kushan's updated v2.1.1 scenario
- This is more of an ongoing (hopefully) report of my journey of discovery as it pertains to C:MO
- C:MO Build 1527
- All Scenario Options left at Default settings.

Part One - Planning the AAR Stations

With no Air ...

Noticed that one of the files in the zip is missing the .ini extension (Lightning, 1960 (B-25) V1.0)

Re: Mine Laying

You mention the mission area often as being too large but this is the Mining Tutorial that comes with the game. I still don't understand the parameter settings on the Mission Editor screen. Also, when I reload this save and replay it I get different behaviors each time; sometimes the qty of moored ...

[WAD + KNOWN] Mine Laying

In the save file provided (It's the Mining Tutorial mission) The MSC 412 Addriyah ship is assigned to a Mine Laying Mission.

1. It drops mines but always has 80 x Moored Mine M-08s. It never expends any.
2. The Mining Pattern settings in the Mission Editor don't seem to do anything. I can put ...

Re: Unit Placement Observations

About placing units. Dragging is a bit unpredictable because there has never been a specification of how it should work in certain cases (e.g. dragging a blob of units/formations and then some of them hit terrain that is impassable for them), so it has been left as it is so far.

If you want to ...

Re: Command Documentation Update

This is a great collation of all things Command:MO. Might I suggest adding the chapter/section title in the header of each page? I typically do a text search for a topic, then have to scroll backwards a number of pages (sometimes a lot of pages) to find the context of what I am reading, sometimes it ...

This is fantastic, a great quick battle for planning strike missions with escorts. Haven't tried out many variations available in setup, but the two i tried worked great!!

Re: keybindings

I really hope rebinding of mouse camera controls is planned too. I really can't get used to the non-standard camera controls at all.
IMO: mouse scroll wheel click should never be used for anything (it's awkward at best) and here it's the most important camera control.

Re: Stuck Dipping Sonar

So i have to micromanage an ASW patrol mission too? (Not sure, Is it a bug or mission parameter not set right?)
