I just started a T4 PBEM game for the first time, in preparation I started playing a lot more T4 than I ever have. I really like the 1 army start where you have a unit of recon air and artillery.
I am having really terrible luck discovering Bazooka in all my T4 games, the same way I have bad luck ...

I had to throw away a bunch of maps due to intense radiation starts. This planet failed to generate metals for player 3, so I'm planning to resign the position and run with 7 players. Last chance to take a difficult start!

When you activate the GR Hidden Tech feat for Democracy, a new and different GR Tech window appears in the bottom right of the tech screen.

Unclassified planet from Oceania DLC, aim for ~15C temperature and 20-30% Ocean which will typically disable MTH from being created too. Key to deserts is usually mountain ranges blocking rain or vast inland areas.

Higher initial population (>1 Billion before apocalypse) will cause more and larger ruin fields to generate and this will be the basis for scavenger %. Survival Stress and Severe Violence starting options help weigh more towards raiders. Zero Alien Tissue Nutrition will stop hunters from taking up ...

Having spent hours genning maps for PBEM and throwing plenty away:

1. I am not smart enough to tell you how, but it's likely possible to influence planet gen variables with Dnspy. Don't quote me on this.

2. Yes, but it's also possible to end up with radiation areas without any explicit meltdown ...

Yes, but I aim to generate no MTHs. Oceania is capable of making some really beautiful maps in a way the base game templates tend not to. So far, I have failed to create my dream map of having an inland sea capable sustaining an MTH while letting the player choose if they want to settle next to it ...
