A guest would be great - the first guy I think of is William Trotter from PCGamer. He put the word out about this game early on and it's how I found it. I have no idea where he lives but you can email him at desktopgeneral@pcgamer.com.

Sukko is right - you don't want to be moving these troops if you don't have to. I would just test and test and find which way works the best.

Couple of New Tutorials

<t>Two new tutorials just went up at the "Tactical Training Center", and they both deal with resizing maps using Chandla's WAWMAP. Hope they are of help, and thanks to Bonzo for posting them on his fine site. <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <br/>

<t>I don't think you can do it - but I've never tried it (and I didn't try it because I didn't think I could do it <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> ). You'll need to do alot of testing to get the effect you want, and you may have to bring in the reinforcements a little later so they can go right in ...

No - it's a good idea but you set the visibility in the editor and you only get one setting. You probably want 5-10 visibility.

You're right, AMP! It never ceases to amaze me how many people work and work to make this game better. We've got many who have put in hundreds or thousands of hours and just do it because they love this game.

I do love the sounds of SPWAW - they add alot to the game. :)

Fabs is right - you have to change your scenario preferences, and the designer will tell you in the text of any special settings.

Man that would be neat to have them automatically change! :)

I've been trying for about 6 months to get corduroy raod graphics in the game - I can find pics if you need them. But they need to affect movement - slower than a road and faster than a swamp.

Started with AH's "Luftwaffe" and "Panzer Blitz", and recently bought those two games on Ebay just to have them around again.

You may have installed to a sub-directory - when you point the installer to where you want it installed, it adds a /Steel Panthers World At War on the end. If you don't notice it and hit "Install" then you installed to a new folder.

I've run into this - the only way I know to avoid it is to stay 2 hexes away. If they are 1 hex away they think you want them to close assault, I believe.

<t>As mosh says, to edit the map and take the snow out would be a montrous job - you'd load the scenario in the editor, then save the map. Now you'd make sure you were in "Summer", and start replacing every hex of snow with whatever you wanted. The problem would be you'd take out roads, rivers ...

<r><QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>You can move all the scenarios from MC into your regular scenario folder, and edit to your hearts content. At least i was able to use the maps from the MC.
