RE: New Patch

<t> Here's some bugs I noticed:<br/>
<br/>
I airlifted part of a base force from base A to base B (to get some air support there). Later I airlifted rest of the same base force from base A to base C (whole of it, since it had no heavy equipment) and got a message about subunits merging. When I ...

RE: My wishlist

Yes, I know, but I can still wish...

Anyway, I'm more concerned that the points I've posted about might be valid for WitP (which I don't have, yet), if it reuses UV code. Can anyone confirm or ease my concerns?

About aircraft reinforcements?

Why are some airgroups in the reinforcement table changing their status from Reinforcement to Disband/Withdrawn, although they've never been on map and are not due for over a year? Not that there's any difference (?), but it seems strange.

Merging part of LCU vanishes?

<t> I airlifted part of a base force from base A to base B (to get some air support there). Later I airlifted rest of the same base force from A to base C (whole of it, since it had no heavy equipment) and got a message about subunits merging. When I checked next turn, there was no part of the unit ...

RE: My wishlist

A question about the last one above: Does the TF flak matter, or is it only per ship?

My wishlist

<t> This may be a bit late, but since I just bought this game...<br/>

I wish...<br/>

2.41: Phantom TF

I take a TF, move all ships to another TF, use a back button to go back to an empty TF, then press the next TF button, and end up in TF 0, with 3000 ships (the database size?), and while I only see the names of my side ships, the types and damage of all is seen.

If the oil level is 100+ (then actual production is oil-100), it means that it has been picked up by routine convoy, so you can't have better than 99 oil production.

<t>AFAIK, splitting damaged ships off a TF doesn't refresh the TF status, you should disband and form a new one.<br/>
<br/>
Also, there is no new system regarding ignoring SC TF's it's the same as always.<br/>
<br/>
If you had ROS orders and Canton as home base, what was the target base? If the TF ...

<t>It seems for some unknown reason the byte in the save file that stores the sub control value for allies gets corrupted at the change of the year. Can't help with secure PBEM, but if you have an unencrypted savefile, open it with my editor and go to the section on sub control and change the allied ...

When I tested, Ki-32's upgraded just fine. Looking deeper, I noticed that not only must the group be on either day or night combat status, it must also be on at least size 4 airfield to upgrade. There's also something about computer control, but that might just be the query for upgrade.

About the multiple strategies, I haven't figured out how it works. There is a strategy variable that can have way more than 4 values, so it looks like there are substrategies also. But this is really hard to understand ...

Check that those groups are either on day or night combat status, other missions prevent autoupgrade.

Speed it must be, there's a function called ship_evasion that takes into account targets speed, damage and other relevant modifications. So change in speed results in inversely relative change in hits.

Try my editor, you need redirect the output to a file from a dos prompt, but you get an ascii textfile that way.

<t>It's been a while since I looked at the code, but I think it is the turn when the day of the month is 1-7. So you need to put ships in port when the day is week before next month. Also, ships in TFs that haven't moved too much (15 or 16 hexes IIRC, and this is total movement along a path, both ...
