Coming back to EiA after a long time.

Last time I installed this was 1.08.07, about 10 years ago! Glad to see it picking up again. Played around with 1.24.02

I'm using the 1805 EiH scenario, so some of this may not globally apply.

Potential Bugs/issues:
1) As France, I just received Persia, which has 2x corps of 10i5c, but their setup ...

RE: Organizing the Soviet Air Forces

<t> Questions for the Beginning, T1:<br/>
<br/>
1) Are there any use for Transports in the beginning? It seems like just throwing good men after dead men. After a couple of tries, I just straight up send them to reserve.<br/>
2) Same question with Recons, what's the point? You rarely actually ...

RE: Mistake turns into a game changer for the Air War.

<t> I wonder if it's worth it to send unescorted bombers on D1 against Mech/Armor units instead of airfields. Most Mech/Armor units don't have flak covering them, and this way, you get to use your TAC/LBs against targets instead of having them useless. Then have your fighters do the normal coverage ...

RE: Strategic Bombing Campaign

Is there a way for the soviets to conduct strategic bombing? Even from the caucusus, the LR LB aircraft in the DBAPs of LR Command can reach Ploesti.

RE: Truck Summary in logistics Phase Report is hard to understand:

<t> Some questions on air units:<br/>
<br/>
1) Is there a way to move air units without all the clutter? For Example, at the start of the game NW Leningrad is way overstacked, but selecting units there, there's actually no way to right click on Pavlovo (1 hex to the east) to move units there. (the ...

RE: Upgrading vehicles

replacing 10 at a time is doable, on some of the fronts that I have. Others, by the time that the road reaches the end, have < 100 log points, which is nominally enough for a replacement/upgrade of 10 vehicles a turn, but not if you count supplies and fuel...

Retirement Text

The text on the various retirement says a roll (presumably 1d100?) against a difficulty of seniority-X (depending on the type of card), but the actual roll seems to be xd20 (depending on the card) vs the seniority (unmodified).

Upgrading vehicles

<t> How do people handle the upgrading of vehicles? I find even replacing 50 buggies to be difficult when on sealed roads at the end of my expansion. So that means either bringing the units back closer to my bases or adding a rail network. option 1 takes hte unit out for multiple turns, option 2 is ...

RE: Should I spawn lots of MG battalions?

<t> Pretty sure the manual is out of date by now. I've seen the manual stated 10 action points, I've also seen 20 and 0. If your unit isn't large enough to exert a minimum level of some sort (and I think it's in recon points, which the hex recon section doesn't say)you not only do not auto-control a ...

Colonization and new cities

<t> I was tempted to create new cities because I had a pretty big buildup of colonists due to some hidden villages I just forgot about. then I figured out that the only population that the new cities will get comes from my other cities, and I'm already low on workers.<br/>

Have you built ...

RE: Logistics question

<t> Because it makes no sense on a logistics point of view. The way things are set up, It's beneficial to set up supply right next to your city. currently, it's like a mound of sand, or water because it is additive. it doesn't matter where your sources are, as long as the sum of the logistics hit ...

Automated Colonization

<t> I did manual colonization to get from 0 to 200 colonies (largest galaxy size) from 201-250 or so, I did suggestions, which got annoying because I had to check all the suggestions to make sure that they were not way far out in an enemy territory. (there were a couple of yummy un-colonized places ...

<t> Ok, that did it, but it seems that the automated constructors ignore them?&nbsp; I've had these ships within my sphere of influence for a long time now, and no constructor has deigned to go there. I had to micromanage a constructor to do this.<br/>

My problem is this. With abandoned stations, you can send anything over, on a "move" to command. Sometimes, it works on an "attack" command, other times the "explore" command is ...

Just saw Spain do it the same turn that it DOWed Portugal.&nbsp; It's at war with nobody, DOWed Portugal with units around (Good!) ran all forces towards Madrid (Bad!) and lapsed the war (Oh noes!)
