BUG REPORT - Export Turn Status Data - Game Crash except when playing vs. Nationalist AI

I noticed, that when exporting the Turn Status Data, this is only possible when playing against Nationalist AI.
All other Options will result in a crash of the game.

I tried it with several Scenarios, but this behavior is always the same.

This is possibly a ...

BUG REPORT - Export Turn Status Data - File Open Error

I noticed, that when exporting the "Turn Status Data" files, 3 of them remain in the "File Open Status" and are blocked by the WIS.exe.

"Turn Status Ships.csv", "TurnStatusBases.csv" and "TurnStatusLandUnits.csv". The file "TurnStatusAirUnits.csv" can be accessed.

For example, if I try to move ...

Re: Combat Mission Shock Force 2: Battle Pack - Out Now

Maybe it is just me, but I consider this CMSF2 Battle Pack "Aftermath" a bit thin.

Here is the full Content list:

The NEW 4 Campaigns:
AM Inglorious Footnote (Small)
AM Probable Cause (Tiny)
AM The Bitter Enders (Small)
AM The Hornet's Nest (Tiny)

The NEW 7 Scenarios:
AM Green on ...

SCE7 - Details about Menorca Supply Situation

I am super impressed by the level of details within the game.

As an example, I was trying to understand the supply levels on Menorca. Scenario 7 - Tutorial, Turn 1.

Originally I was triggered by the initial Status Report.
It lists the "Dot"-Base Saint Cristobal as having a critical supply level ...

Re: Don't ever change your resolution

yes, i have the same problem. Hopefully there will be some kind of a patch/upgrade in future. You can play the game, but certain things work differently as how it is explained in the tutorial.

The whole UI needs a rework .. nothing is working without any trouble

Fingers crossed. It is a ...

Button R - Road/RR Highlighting - SOMEWHAT COSMETIC

I use the Keybord shortcuts a lot.
One of my favorites is the "R"_Key to highlight roads/railroads on the map.

However, the visualisation is somewhat wierd:

1) The displayed network does not follow the road/railroad visual exactly, but rather add some hand-drawn visuals on the map, that add to the ...

Keyboad Shortcuts "I, J, K, L" - What are they good for?

I love Keyboad Shortcuts. Most of them are very helpful indeed.

However, I do not understand the combination of " I, J, K, L "?

Apparently they move the whole game window "up/left/down and right".
I could just move the Window as a whole with my mouse. If this indeed functionality is needed at all ...

Since this game has similar Port size based TF loading restrictions to AE, wouldn't it be better to make use of the large port at Tarragona for loading the troops that are there in order to relieve the pressure on the port at Barcelona? Just asking in order to understand the game system better ...

Re: SUGGESTION - Exporting Save-Game Data into CSV-Files - Supporting 3rd-Party Analytical Tools

What about a program like Tracker for WITP:AE?

That of course would be fantastic, but AFAIK they were able to directly decipher the save games files.
To me it looks like these are encrypted, so this would add an aditional layer of complexity.
At least that would be beyond my skills. :-)
Any ...

Re: Combat Reports

After your turn ends, pressing the P key will show you the hexagons where combats took place (two crossed swords symbol). Hovering your cursor over them will display a summary of the combat in each hexagon.

Although I agree, the location must also be properly marked in the combat phase. This will ...

Re: SUGGESTION - Exporting Save-Game Data into CSV-Files - Supporting 3rd-Party Analytical Tools

Well then, start writing your program to do so just this job in case something like what you want happens!

My apologies, but I do not understand your comment.

Once a CSV-Export exists, it is all done within the Excel/Power-BI-Magic.
Or somebody could indeed write a 3rd-party programm.

But no ...

Is there a way to slow down the compat resoltuion execution?

SUGGESTION - Exporting Save-Game Data into CSV-Files - Supporting 3rd-Party Analytical Tools

I noticed, that from the Editor, the player can export a lot of initial scenario data into CSV-Files.
This is a perfect foundation for building some analytical tools like we had in WitP-AE.

Furthermore, it is excellent, that different reports are already automatically created after each turn and ...

User Interface / Dialogues inconsistencies - Suggestions for Optimization

While I really enjoy the complexity and enhancements of the system, I have mixed feelings about some inconsistencies of the user interface / dialogues.

While I do understand the need for the approach to offer the "familiar" dialogues of WitP-AE, in my opinion it is a missed opportunity not to also ...
