Game crashes on startup

<r> Tried playing this for the first time in years. It's the Steam version. The game crashes trying to load the third data set with the message that there has been a problem and I should post this log:

One thing that matters is local production from HI centers: look at HI, resources and supply (say at Seattle). If you do NOT have TWICE the oil you do HI - there is NO production by the factories. It is the opposite in New Orleans - you ...

<t> I am just getting into RHS (playing the Allies against the AI using scenario 76, the Japan-AI-optimized version of the EOS scenario) and I like a lot of what has been done in RHS.&nbsp; My problem is that the AI is not conquering territory nearly fast enough, and nothing like what it does in ...

You can transfer planes ashore via crane even if the CV is too damaged to fly off planes.&nbsp; That is the only time the crane transfer makes sense.

<r> I think, in a way, pasternakski's two arguments are the same argument.<br/>

The reason why a competant AI is so hard for this game is that the player role is not defined for the game, and so the AI role is not defined either. If, as pasternakski says, the designer starts with an idea of ...

I have had the same problem with combat save. It turned out to be PT boats - if they were involved in any combats, the game crashed when it got to their combat resolution.<br/>

I have not checked to see if the new patches actually fixed this - we have just gotten ...

Hasn´t someone recently reported a problem when fighting PTs?
Somebody brought that up, and when I disbanded all of my PT squadrons I found that my machine no longer crashed during the combat phase, either.

<t> I have never had an issue with convoys taking up too much time when playing Japan, since there are so few convoys actualy needed. I look at convoys about once a week, and start one from Osaka to Singapore and one from Osaka to Truk. The smaller AKs and TKs are at Singapore and Truk to get ...

I think "requirements" is the max daily possible use of supply, not the daily norm. No combat reduces supply expenditures remarkably, yet the "requirement" clearly isn't for idleness. As SvenXYZ says, plan for the worst.

How can you see how many mines were in a friendly mine field? I didn't know this could be done.
On a friendly base it is at top center, bottom line. In any other hex, it is unknown.
