Is it possible for us to burn a CD as a backup copy for ourselves? Or do we have to pay for the CD from Matrix? I've seen this question asked before, but never definatively answered.

For whom? The full campaign in Normandy 44 was 400+ turns. Compared to that, the 80 or so that would have been required for BiN hardly seems unreasonable. Besides ...

Well, there's always A World at War. It's A3R combined with Rising Sun plus a lot of additional chrome. The rulebook is supposedly around 200 pages. It was just released this month by GMT Games.
